The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A method for receiving a signal in a signal receiving apparatus in a communication system supporting a low density parity check (LDPC) code is provided. The method includes receiving a signal from a signal transmitting apparatus; and performing an LDPC decoding operation which is based on a preset first parity check matrix on the received signal, wherein the first parity check matrix is generated based on a second parity check matrix including a plurality of sub-matrices.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for adaptive channel code selection according to a non-Gaussianity of a channel in a wireless communication system. A method includes receiving channel feedback information from a receiving node; selecting, based on the channel feedback information, a channel code among a plurality of channels code having different degree distributions of repetition codes; and encoding transmission data based on the selected channel code.

A memory controller includes a register configured to store a parity check matrix, and an error correcting code (ECC) decoder configured to perform error bit correction on data supplied from a non-volatile memory device using the parity check matrix. The parity check matrix includes N column matrices, where N is a natural number. Each of the N column matrices includes multiple sub-matrices, and a last sub-matrix of the multiple sub-matrices of each column matrix, which is a non-zero valued matrix that comes last in an decoding sequence of the ECC decoder, is an identity matrix.
Abstract:
A decoding method in a mobile communication system using a non-binary LDPC code according to various embodiments of the present disclosure includes: selecting a message value having the highest reliability from each column and each row of an input vector message; generating a configuration set using the message value selected for each column and a GL element corresponding to the message value; and generating a check node output message using the generated configuration set and an extra output message value. According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, a decoding time period is reduced.
