An electronic device may include a flexible display, a battery, a memory, and a processor operatively connected to the flexible display, the battery, and the memory. The processor may be configured to: when the state of charge of the battery is a specified value or less, identify a current form factor of the flexible display; determine at least one form factor of the flexible display that can reduce power consumption of the battery; and provide information on the at least one form factor of the flexible display. An electronic device includes a memory, at least one camera module, and a processor operatively connected to the memory and the at least one camera module. The processor is configured to, while acquiring first recording data by using the at least one camera module, detect at least one designated gesture input on the basis of at least a part of the acquired first recording data. The processor executes a function corresponding to the detected gesture input. The processor creates and stores a second recording data in the memory. The second recording data includes data remaining after excluding, from the acquired first recording data, recording data corresponding to a time interval from the detection initiation time point of the detected gesture input to detection termination time point of same.

Various embodiments of the present invention relate to a flexible electronic device for sensing folding and a method for operating same. The electronic device may comprise: a hinge; a first housing comprising a first surface facing in a first direction and a third surface facing in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction; a second housing comprising a second surface facing in the first direction and a fourth surface facing in the second direction, the second housing being folded on the first housing around the hinge; a flexible display extending from the first surface to the third surface; at least one sensor circuit for sensing the angle between the first housing and the second housing; and a processor operatively connected to the flexible display and the sensor circuit. In addition, the processor may sense folding of the electronic device on the basis of the angle sensed through the sensor circuit, may determine, on the basis of the folding history of the electronic device, the possibility that the durability of the balding area will degrade and may control output of a durability notification in response to determining that there is a possibility that the durability of the folding area will degrade.
