Abstract:
A method for dividing and displaying a content unit includes: extracting a sub-content unit which is generated by dividing an original content unit by a preset time interval; displaying the entire sub-content unit when receiving a sub-content unit display command; receiving a jump command that selects a replay time point for an arbitrary sub-content unit among the above sub-content units; and replaying and displaying the original content unit from the replay time point.
Abstract:
An electronic device and method are disclosed. The electronic device includes a foldable display that is at least partially foldable, at least one processor, and at least one memory. The processor implements the method, including detecting, by at least one processor, that a foldable display of the electronic device changes from an unfolded state to a partially folded state, configuring a first region of the foldable display to accept touch inputs in the partially folded state, and configuring a second region of the foldable display to accept non-touch inputs in the partially folded state.
Abstract:
An interfacing device and method to support a speech dialogue service based on a multi-modal input are provided. The method includes executing an interface for the speech dialogue service, receiving a user input, through the executed interface, including a voice input and a non-voice input, transmitting, as a request signal to a server, at least one of the voice input or a text extracted from the voice input when the received user input is the voice input, transmitting, as the request signal to the server, a text extracted from the non-voice input when the received user input is the non-voice input, receiving a result of dialogue recognition in response to the request signal from the server, and executing a response to the received user input on the basis of the received result of dialogue recognition.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for displaying a task management screen of a mobile device having a touch screen. When a task management program is executed, a control unit of the apparatus constructs a task management map in which at least one application is arranged along a first axis and a task history of said at least one application is arranged along a second axis. Then the control unit displays a task management screen in which an application item related to the application on the first axis is displayed in a first direction and a task history item related to the task history on the second axis is displayed in a second direction.
Abstract:
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a sensor module, a communication module, a display, a memory, and at least one processor configured to identify a plurality of states based on at least one of information obtained through the sensor module, information received from an external electronic device through the communication module, or information associated with a function of the electronic device, identify priorities of the plurality of states, identify a first state among the plurality of states based on the identified priorities, identify whether there is a second state mergeable with the first state, and control the display to display, a first character object corresponding to the first state or a third character object corresponding to merge of the first state and the second state, based on whether there is the second state mergeable with the first state.
Abstract:
A method of providing a voice-speech service in a mobile terminal is provided. The method includes receiving sensing information from a sensor unit, determining whether to set an operating mode of the voice-speech service as a driving mode according to the sensing information, and providing an audible feedback according to pre-stored driving mode setting information when an operating mode of the voice-speech service is set as the driving mode.
Abstract:
An electronic device identifies an occurrence of an event related to the electronic device, identifies whether a state of the electronic device is a first state based on the identified occurrence of the event, when the state of the electronic device is the first state, controls the driving module so that the flexible display moves in the second direction, and displays information related to the occurring event on the flexible display extended according to control of the driving module.
Abstract:
An electronic device that may collect gas and provide information associated with gas, and a operating method thereof are disclosed. The electronic device may include: a gas sensor that detects gas; a processing unit that analyzes the components of detected gases so as to determine whether abnormal gas is included; and a display unit that displays the analyzed gases on a screen, and displays abnormal gas to be emphasized. A method of operating the electronic device may include: detecting gases through the gas sensor; analyzing the detected gases and analyzing whether abnormal gases exist; displaying the analyzed gases on a screen and displaying abnormal gases to be emphasized.

Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for executing a function of an electronic device using fingerprint verification. A security level of the function to be performed is acquired, if the function requires the fingerprint verification. A fingerprint input of a user is received. A count of a number of matching points that exist between the fingerprint input and a prestored fingerprint is determined. The count of the number of matching points is compared with a minimum number of matching points corresponding to the security level of the function.
