Abstract: An electronic device is provided to include a user interface, a communication circuitry that supports Bluetooth (BT) communication and store a first BT address, a processor operatively connected with the user interface and the communication circuitry, and a memory operatively connected with the processor. The memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to establish a communication connection with a first external electronic device based on the first BT address, end the communication connection with the first external electronic device, receive a reconnection request based on the first BT address from the first external electronic device, transmit a communication connection request to the first external electronic device based on a second BT address different from the first BT address, using the communication circuitry in response to the reconnection request, and store information about whether the first external electronic device accepts or declines the communication connection request in the memory.

Abstract: The electronic device according to various embodiments may comprise: a housing; a universal serial bus (USB) connector connected or integrated with the housing; a wireless communication circuit located inside the housing; a processor that is located inside the housing and electrically connected to the USB connector and the wireless communication circuit; and a memory that is located inside the housing and electrically connected to the processor. The memory, when in operation, may store instructions for the processor to determine that the USB connector is electrically connected to a first external electronic device having an identifier, receive the identifier from the first external electronic device via the USB connector, generate a wireless signal packet comprising the identifier, receive a probe request from a second external electronic device via the wireless communication circuit, transmit the wireless signal packet to the second external electronic device via the wireless communication circuit, and configure a wireless communication channel with the second external electronic device, after transmitting the wireless signal packet. Other various embodiments are possible.

Abstract: An electronic device and a method for forming a Wi-Fi direct group thereof are provided. The electronic device may include a housing, a wireless communication circuit, at least one processor, and a memory. The memory may cause the at least one processor to receive a first list of wireless channels for a direct connection from a first external device, establish, as a group owner, a first wireless connection with the first external device acting as a group client by using a first channel selected from the first list, listen for a probe request over a second channel every selected time period, receive the probe request from a second external device during the selected time period through the second channel, transmit a probe response to the second external device, receive a second list of wireless channels for a direct connection from the second external device, and select a third channel.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a display; a first wireless communication circuit configured to support Bluetooth (BT) communication and to include a first BT address; a processor operatively connected to the display and the first wireless communication circuit; and a memory, wherein the memory may store instructions that are configured to, when executed, cause the processor to: receive first data including a second BT address associated with a first external device; perform a page scan based on the first BT address and the second BT address using the BT communication; receive second data based on the second BT address from a second external device using the BT communication; identify information for connection with the second external device based on the second data using the BT communication; and provide a user interface for connection with the second external device through the display based on the identified information.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE).A subscriber server supporting subscription of an electronic device in a communication system is provided. The subscriber server includes a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal, and a controller configured to receive a first subscription connection request message of the electronic device from a terminal, the first subscription connection request message including subscription terminal information of the terminal and identification information of the electronic device, authenticate a user of the terminal on a basis of the subscription terminal information included in the received first subscription connection request message, and transmit a second subscription connection request message of the electronic device to a support server if the user authentication has succeeded. The subscription terminal information of the terminal is used to acquire subscription information of the electronic device so as to subscribe the electronic device.
