    Abstract: The electronic device according to various embodiments may comprise: a housing; a universal serial bus (USB) connector connected or integrated with the housing; a wireless communication circuit located inside the housing; a processor that is located inside the housing and electrically connected to the USB connector and the wireless communication circuit; and a memory that is located inside the housing and electrically connected to the processor. The memory, when in operation, may store instructions for the processor to determine that the USB connector is electrically connected to a first external electronic device having an identifier, receive the identifier from the first external electronic device via the USB connector, generate a wireless signal packet comprising the identifier, receive a probe request from a second external electronic device via the wireless communication circuit, transmit the wireless signal packet to the second external electronic device via the wireless communication circuit, and configure a wireless communication channel with the second external electronic device, after transmitting the wireless signal packet. Other various embodiments are possible.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a display; a first wireless communication circuit configured to support Bluetooth (BT) communication and to include a first BT address; a processor operatively connected to the display and the first wireless communication circuit; and a memory, wherein the memory may store instructions that are configured to, when executed, cause the processor to: receive first data including a second BT address associated with a first external device; perform a page scan based on the first BT address and the second BT address using the BT communication; receive second data based on the second BT address from a second external device using the BT communication; identify information for connection with the second external device based on the second data using the BT communication; and provide a user interface for connection with the second external device through the display based on the identified information.
