    Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a sensor, a display, a processor, and a memory including instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to acquire display feature information based on a state of the electronic device, receive a first user input which selects a first icon displayed in a first area of the display for executing an application, determine a multi-window layout for displaying an execution screen of multiple applications in response to the first user input, based on the display feature information, display the determined multi-window layout in a second area of the display, display a second icon to which an operation of storing the displayed multi-window layout is mapped, upon receiving a second user input of selecting the second icon, store the multi-window layout, and generate a third icon to which the multi-window layout is mapped, and display the third icon in the first area.

    Abstract: A method and device for controlling a screen displayed on a display of an electronic device are provided. Aspects include displaying, on a first region of the display, a host window corresponding to an application run on the electronic device. Aspects also include displaying the first dependent window on a second region of the display corresponding to the first region based at least in part on a call of a first dependent window among dependent windows that are dependent on the host window. Aspects further include stacking and displaying, on the second region, a second dependent window among the dependent windows based at least in part on an event occurring in the first dependent window. Aspects further include initializing window display on the second region based at least in part on an event occurring in the host window.

    Abstract: A display apparatus and a controlling method are provided. The display apparatus includes a communication interface to communicate with an external device, a display, and a processor which, in response to connecting to a plurality of external devices, may identify one external device based on usage history, identify whether the external device is turned on based on a clock signal included in an input signal of the identified external device, based on the identified external device not being turned on, transmit a control signal to turn on the external device to the external device, identify a feature of content provided by the identified external device, change an output setting state of the display corresponding to the identified feature of the content, and based on receiving content from the external device, control the display to display the received content based on the changed output setting state of the display.

    Abstract: An electronic device according to various embodiments may include: a housing including a first housing, a second housing, and a third housing; a first hinge configured to enable the first housing and the third housing to pivot, and a second portion configured to enable the second housing and the third housing to pivot; a first display viewable through a first area of the first housing, a second area of the second housing, and a third area of the third housing; at least one sensor; a processor operably connected to the first display and the at least one sensor; and a memory operably connected to the processor, wherein the memory may store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to control the electronic device to: display a first screen of an application in a first state in which the first area and the second area face the third area, detect, through the at least one sensor, a change from the first state to a second state in which the first area and the third area face a same direction or a third state in which the second area and the third area face a same direction, determine a second screen of the application to be displayed through the first display in a state, among the second state and the third state, changed from the first state, and display the second screen through the first display in the changed state.
