Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. A base station (BS) may configure a component carrier group for a user equipment (UE). The BS may provide an indication of a spatial relation for one or more sounding reference signals associated with a component carrier of the component carrier group. The UE may receive the indication and may apply the spatial relation to the one or more sounding reference signals across bandwidth parts of component carriers of the component carrier group.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support emergency messaging using a mobile relay. For example, a first user equipment (UE), may transmit a first emergency message indicating a request for relaying a second emergency message to one or more network entities, the first UE being out-of-coverage of a network entity. The first UE may receive, from a second UE associated with an aircraft, a feedback message in response to the first emergency message and may transmit, to the second UE, a second emergency message based on receiving the feedback message. The second UE may receive the second emergency message and transmit, over an air-to-ground wireless communications network, an indication based on the first emergency message and the second emergency message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive, from a base station, control signaling identifying a first set of resources for data transmissions and a second set of resources for uplink control information (UCI) transmission by the UE when the UE is in an inactive state or an idle state. The UE may generate, when the UE is in one of the inactive state or the idle state, a UCI message based on the second set of resources. The UE may then transmit, to the base station when the UE in the one of the inactive state or the idle state, a data message on at least a portion of the first set of resources and the UCI message on the second set of resources.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to the timing arrangements and the transmission gap configurations in 2-step random access channel (RACH) procedures to improve system latency and reliability of a RACH HARQ process are provided. The UE transmits a first message including a random access preamble and a payload, and then monitors for a second message in response to the first message during a random access response (RAR) window. In response to determining that no second message is received by the UE from the BS or a back off indicator is received within the RAR window, the UE re-transmits the preamble and payload of the first message after the RAR window lapses. In response to determining if the second message received within the RAR window carries a FallbackRAR or SuccessRAR, the UE then determines to re-transmit the payload of the first message based on the FallbackRAR, or to transmit an acknowledgement message based on the SuccessRAR.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems may support flexible waveform configuration for autonomous uplink transmissions. A base station may transmit broadcast signaling (e.g., a system information block (SIB)) indicating waveform configuration information for an autonomous uplink transmission by a user equipment (UE). In some cases, the broadcast signaling may include a waveform configuration field (WCF) that may indicate whether flexible waveforms for autonomous uplink are supported, may configure a waveform type, may indicate waveform configuration mapping rules, etc. As such, a UE may identify whether flexible waveform configuration for autonomous uplink is supported, and may determine waveform types for autonomous uplink transmissions based on waveform type configuration information from a base station (e.g., which may include an indication of whether flexible waveform configuration is supported, an indication of waveform type/scenario mapping rules, etc.), one or more LUTs, identified autonomous uplink scenarios, autonomous uplink transmission parameters, or some combination thereof.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability message indicating support for multiple configured grant small data transmission (CG-SDT) configurations and may receive one or more downlink messages that collectively indicate a downlink bandwidth part (BWP), an uplink BWP and a set of CG-SDT configurations based on transmitting the capability message. Each CG-SDT configuration may be associated with respective time and frequency resources for use in one or more CG-SDTs. The UE may transition out of a radio resource control (RRC) connected state based on receiving the one or more downlink messages. The UE may transmit an initial CG-SDT that includes a common control channel (CCCH) message using time and frequency resources associated with one or more of the set of CG-SDT configurations based on comparing the respective time and frequency resources associated with the each of the CG-SDT configurations.
