Abstract:
The invention relates to a growth substrate comprising at least one layer of short transversally extending mineral wool fibers and at least one surface layer of mineral wool fibers, wherein preferably the layer of short transversally extending mineral wool fibers is interposed between two surface layers of mineral wool fibers, or wherein preferably the layer of short transversally extending mineral wool fibers is interposed between two surface layers of horizontally extending mineral wool fibers.
Abstract:
A torch has a fuel container with a reservoir and a top cover. The top cover defines a first wick passage, a first fill hole, and a guide slot. A fire bowl is positioned atop the fuel container and defines a second wick passage, a second fill hole, and a guide member. At least one open rotational position is allowed between the fuel container and fire bowl such that the first and second fill holes are aligned to allow fluid into the reservoir via the fill holes. At least one closed rotational position is allowed between the fuel container and the fire bowl such that the first and second fill holes are out of alignment substantially blocking fluid flow into or out of the reservoir via the fill holes.
Abstract:
A method of making a package (5) comprising a mineral wool product (1) substantially air-tightly enclosed by a foil (25), characterised by bringing about a dimensional reduction of said mineral wool product (1) by mechanically compressing said mineral wool product (1) in a first direction using mechanical compressing means (30) and evacuating said dimensionally reduced mineral wool product (1) enclosed by said foil (25).
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a fibre-reinforced blade for a wind energy plant is presented, which blade is configured with at least a blade shell and means for conducting to a lightning current to an earth connection. Novel aspects of the method comprise that the blade is provided with segmented conductor means that are configured for conducting a lightning current outside the blade to the means for conducting to earth; and wherein the conductor means are distributed and secured at the external surface of the blade shell in such a manner that the conductor means are essentially flush with the external surface of the blade shell. When the segmented conductor means are distributed and attached at the external surface of the blade shell, the lightning current will not have to be conducted through the conductor means, but rather they are conducted in a ionised passage in the air above the conductor means.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a wash basin (2) for rinsing or washing hair of the head, comprising an illuminating device (3) having a plurality of light projectors (5) for illuminating an inner region (14) of the wash basin (2). Said wash basin (2) consists of a light permeable material (4), the light projectors (5) of the illuminating device (3) being arranged outside the wash basin (2) in such a way that at least one partial region (11) of an outer side (6) of the wash basin (2) can be subjected to light (12).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mutant DNA sequence encoding protein phosphatase 1 G-subunit, wherein a mutation of G to T occurs in the position of codon 905 of the coding sequence, a method of detecting a mutation in the gene encoding protein phosphatase 1 G-subunit, as well as a diagnostic composition and a test kit for use in the method.
Abstract:
This invention relates to tubing and a method for heat exchange between a first fluid which is in the tubing and a second tubing which is outside of the tubing. The tubing extends between a first end portion and a second end portion. The tubing includes an inner tube and an outer tube which is arranged on the outside of the inner tube. The inner tube being connected to the outer tube in a fluid-tight manner at the first end portion. The first end portion being surrounded by and attached to a fluid-supply pipe and there being in the second end portion, a passage between the inner tube and the outer tube.
Abstract:
Wireless base station device for handling wireless communication, e.g. DECT, between a plurality of associated wireless terminals and an IP network. The base station device has a radio transceiver, a network interface, and a processor with communication application and a communication session management software. The communication session management is arranged to control a communication session with an associated wireless terminal (upper layer management), while wireless communication with said associated wireless terminal involved with said communication session (lower layer) is handled by another base station device. Thus, the base station can manage separate operation of its upper and lower layer, thereby enabling e.g. hand-over of a session to and from other base stations. This allows self contained single casing base station devices to operate in a network without the need for at central server, and still such network is easy to extend by adding base stations.
Abstract:
A torch includes a tank adapted to contain a fuel, a firebowl atop the tank defining a fill opening, and an operating device that fits over the firebowl as a snuffer. A closing device may be fitted into the fill opening. The closing device may be movable between a lowered closed position and a raised open position. The closing device defines at least one recess for receiving a portion of an operating device that moves the closing device between the open and closed positions.
