    摘要: A rigid dip tube connector for a trigger spray bottle having a threaded opening. A cap body is screwed onto the opening and has a hinged cap attached thereto. The cap body has an annulus and an opening in the center for supporting a rigid dip tube. A plastic connector is provided and has a cylindrical bore extending from its bottom which fits into the opening in the cap body. The plastic connector is cylindrical and has an annulus in its upper portion for receiving a flexible tube for connection to a sprayer. The plastic connector fits into the annulus of the cap body so that the rigid dip tube and flexible tube align with one another. In a second embodiment, the annulus of the cap body is open and the rigid dip tube connects directly to the plastic connector or plunger. As a result, the plastic connector by itself connects and aligns the rigid dip tube and the flexible tube. The plastic connector snap fits into the opening of the cap body.

    摘要: A modified colored pigment is described which comprises colored pigment having attached at least one organic group. The organic group comprises a) at least one aromatic group or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl group and b) at least one ionic group, at least one ionizable group, or a mixture of an ionic group and an ionizable group. The aromatic group or the C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl group of the organic group is directly attached to the pigment and the organic group is present at a treatment level of from about 0.10 to about 4.0 micromoles/m.sup.2 of the pigment used based on nitrogen surface area of the pigment. Also described are aqueous and non-aqueous inks and coatings and ink jet ink compositions containing the modified colored pigment. A method to increase the flow of an ink is also disclosed as well as a method to improve the waterfastness of a print imaged by an ink composition. Also, other ink jet ink compositions are described which comprise an aqueous or non-aqueous vehicle and a colored pigment having attached an organic group having the formula: Ar--R.sup.1 (I) or Ar'R.sup.3 R.sup.2 (II) wherein Ar is an aromatic group and Ar' is an aromatic group.

    摘要: The preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a glass sealed thyristor and a method for simultaneously constructing a plurality of thyristors and a common semiconductor wafer. The thyristor utilizes a body of semiconductor material with the cathode and base regions extending to one major surface and the anode region extending to the second major surface. A groove is etched in the first surface of the body of semiconductor material to expose the PN junction formed at the interface of the cathode emitter and cathode emitter base regions. A second groove is etched in the second major surface to expose the PN junction formed at the interface of the anode emitter region and the anode emitter base region. Ring shaped glass members are fused to the body of semiconductor material to form seals providing environmental protection for the PN junctions exposed by etching the grooves in the major surfaces of the body of semiconductor material. A plurality of thyristors can be simultaneously constructed on a common semiconductor wafer.

    摘要: A process to purify and classify a dispersion containing stabilized particles having counterions and ions as well as free species is disclosed. The solution may comprise an aqueous media, a solvent media, or a combination of both and can include more than one type of aqueous and/or solvent solutions. The process includes at least the steps, in any order, of substantially removing the particles having sizes above about 1 micron, preferably above 0.5 micron; substantially removing the free species; and exchanging at least a portion of the counterions that are a part of the stabilized particles. The process disclosed is especially useful in purifying dispersions where the ionic stabilized colloidal particles are carbon black having attached organic groups comprising at least one ionic group, or at least one ionizable group, or mixtures thereof.

    摘要: A two piece, molded plastic dispenser, that functions with a push-pull motion, comprising an outer shell and an inner shell. The outer shell comprises a top wall with an aperture defined at its center, and a skirt of generally cylindrical shape. A plug seal extends below the top wall, and annular groove and bead are formed in the vicinity of the upper end of the inner surface of the skirt and the underside of the top wall. The inner shell comprises a top wall, a tapered spud extending upwardly from the top wall, an annular barrier encircling the spud, and a depending skirt. Detents and arcuate wall segments extend, in interspersed fashion, about the perimeter of the upper shell, and cooperate with the bead on the outer shell. Vertical ribs on the inner surface of the outer shell cooperate with serrations on the exterior surface of the inner shell to guide the relative movement of the outer shell, in a vertical direction, while preventing relative rotation between the shells. The contents of the container are discharged through apertures in the inner shell proximate to the spud to flow through the aperture in the outer shell. The plug seal and annular barrier, and the spud and aperture, are fully engaged, when the dispenser is closed, to provide leak-proof operation. The arcuate walls segments extend vertically above the detents to protect same, and the underside of the annular bead abuts a shoulder on each wall segment when the dispenser is closed.

    摘要: A surface-modified colored pigment is disclosed which includes a colored pigment having no primary amines and at least one attached hydrophilic organic group, wherein said organic group comprises a) at least one aromatic group, and b) at least one ionic group or ionizable group, or a mixture of an ionic group or an ionizable group. The colored pigment may be blue, brown, cyan, green, violet, magenta, red, orange, yellow, mixtures thereof and the like. The surface-modified colored pigment, due to the hydrophilic groups on its surface, is readily dispersed in a liquid vehicle without the addition of a surfactant or other dispersing aid or additive. The surface-modified color pigment may be used in a variety of aqueous systems including, but not limited to, coatings, paints, papers, adhesives, latexes, inks, toners, textiles and fibers. In addition, an aqueous composition is disclosed including water-based liquid vehicle and the surface-modified colored pigment described above. Also disclosed is an ink composition including a water-based liquid vehicle and the surface-modified colored pigment described above. Finally, a process is disclosed for preparing the surface-modified colored pigments having no primary amines and at least one attached hydrophilic organic group, wherein said organic group comprises a) at least one aromatic group, and b) at least one ionic or ionizable group, or a mixture of an ionic group or an ionizable group.

    摘要: A glass disc-shaped thyristor is disclosed. The thyristor comprises a body of semiconductive material having a first emitter region, a first base region, a second base region and a second emitter region therein. A cathode electrode and a gate electrode are affixed to one major surface, and an anode electrode is affixed to the second major surface of the body of semiconductor material. The cathode electrode is disc-shaped and is concentrically positioned with respect to the annular-shaped gate electrode. A ring-shaped glass member is affixed to a first major surface of the body of semiconductive material and to the edges of the cathode and base electrodes to form a seal protecting a PN junction at the interface of the first emitter and base regions. An anode electrode is affixed to the second major surface of the body of semiconductive material. A second annular shaped glass member is affixed to the edge of the body of semiconductive material to form a seal protecting PN junctions formed at the interface of the first and second base regions and at the interface of the second base region with the second emitter region. The first and second ring-shaped glass members are formed by fusing glass preforms in an atmosphere comprising a predetermined mixture of nitrogen and water vapor to cause the glass preforms to soften and fuse to the surfaces of the body of semiconductive material to form a protective seals.
