    摘要: An intra prediction mode selecting method is disclosed. First, a compress profile and a frame resolution of a frame data are received. Next, a plurality of corresponding prediction modes are selected according to the compress profile and the frame resolution, and the selected prediction modes are scheduled for sequentially calculating a plurality of corresponding cost functions. Finally, the cost functions are compared to select one of the prediction modes to serve as a prediction mode of the frame data.

    摘要: In a method for enabling a power-saving mode for an electronic apparatus, a power mode index Ips is determined according to transmission indices Bit0˜Bitn and/or port situation indices Ip0˜Ipm. For example, when the transmission indices Bit0˜Bitn are all under inactive states or when all the port situation indices Ip0˜Ipm are under disable states, the power mode index Ips indicates a highly power-saving mode D3. When less transmission indices are under inactive states or when less port situation indices Ip0˜Ipm are under port disable states, the power mode index Ips indicates a primary or intermediate power-saving mode D1 or D2. The power mode index Ips can also indicate no power-saving mode D0 when all transmission indices and/or port situation indices are active/enabled or the electronic apparatus is forced to remain normal power.

    摘要: A bit rate control circuit for image compression includes a compression unit, a R-value calculation unit, a linear quantization factor (LQF) calculation unit. The compression unit is used to performs a first quantization process on an image based on a default LQF (LQFini) to obtain an initial bits per pixel (bbpini) with an initial number of zero coefficients (Rini). The R-value calculation unit calculates out a target R value (Rtarget) based on the initial bits per pixel (bbpini), the initial number zero coefficients (Rini), and a target bpp (bbptarget).     摘要: A method for performing a load flow test among a number of IEEE 1394 controllers is provided. The IEEE 1394 controllers are disposed on a number of interface cards individually while the interface cards are placed in a host or several hosts. The method includes the following steps: The interface cards are first initialized. Then, the master interface card starts to perform the load flow test. After that, the status of every interface cards is checked for confirming whether an error occurs or not. If the error occurs, debugging is performed. If not, the slave interface cards checks the result of the load flow test. The invention can fully control the buffer and monitor the memory since the test method is not performed under the driver structure in the WINDOWS operating system. It is therefore convenient to test in a load flow environment by using this method.
