Abstract: Disclosed herein are a video encoding/decoding method and apparatus. The video decoding method according to the present invention includes: obtaining information on whether filtering is performed on a virtual boundary for a current picture from a bitstream; decoding information on the number of virtual boundaries based on the information on whether filtering is performed on a virtual boundary; decoding information on a position of a virtual boundary based on the information on the number of virtual boundaries; and reconstructing the current picture based on the information on the position of the virtual boundary.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method, an apparatus and a storage medium for performing encoding/decoding on an image using a subpicture. A picture may be partitioned into various units such as subpictures and slices, and various syntax elements and structures may be used to specify the units. In an embodiment, there is a method for configuring a reference picture list for motion compensation in the case where the location of a reference subpicture to be referred to for motion compensation is different from the location of a target subpicture. Further, in an embodiment, there is provided a method for providing the configuration of a reference picture list and an override on the number of activated reference indexes.

Abstract: Disclosed are an image encoding method using a skip mode and a device using the method. The image encoding method may comprise the steps of: judging whether there is residual block data of a prediction target block on the basis of predetermined data indicating whether residual block data has been encoded; and, if there is residual block data, restoring the prediction target block on the basis of the residual block data and an intra-screen predictive value of the prediction target block. Consequently, encoding and decoding efficiency can be increased by carrying out the encoding and decoding of screen residual data only for prediction target blocks where there is a need for a residual data block in accordance with screen similarity.
