摘要: A method of constructing a modular, commercial unit includes arranging components of said commercial unit in separate modules, each of the separate modules having a frame assembly. The modules are then transported to a predetermined location where certain of said separate modules are connected together, via the frame assemblies, to form an operation superstructure. The components are not removed from the separate modules prior to the separate modules being connected via their respective frame assemblies.

摘要: A system for storing fuel includes a support structure supporting at least one fuel tank a predetermined distance above ground. The fuel tank includes an inner tank configured to contain a gaseous fuel, an intermediate tank encompassing the inner tank and defining a first annular space therebetween, and an outer tank encompassing the intermediate tank an defining a second annular space therebetween. The first annular space is filled with a shock-absorbing resin for absorbing structural stresses, while the second annular space is filled with an insulating material providing for fire and ballistic resistance. The intermediate tank is connected to the support structure and to at least one adjacent fuel tank, and prevents the transfer of load to the inner tank.

摘要: A method for the reinforcement of a pipeline in communicating with a marine platform, the pipeline extending from below a waterline to above the waterline, includes arranging a casing about the pipeline at a location above the waterline, the casing being dimensioned such that a space is defined between an inner surface of the casing and an outer periphery of the pipeline. A cap assembly is positioned at an upper end of the casing, and the casing is shifted to a predetermined position along the pipeline. The space is evacuated via the introduction of a pressurized gas and a resin is injected to fill the space, the resin being injected at a pressure that causes the casing to expand and be become pretensioned about the resin and pipeline.
