摘要: Robotic tools, methods, and systems for repairing pipes in-situ are described. A robotic tool includes a body with an annular, cylindrical configuration with a first end and a second end opposite the first end, the body having an inner surface defining an axis; a printing arm attached to the inner surface of the robotic body using a track, the printing arm circumferentially movable along the inner surface of the body; a printing head attached to the printing arm, the printing head movable radially along the printing arm and axially relative to the printing arm; and a plurality of legs positioned at axial intervals around the robotic body, each leg pivotably attached to the robotic body at either the first end or the second end of the body and pivotable between an open position and a closed position.

摘要: A modular enclosure system and method for repair of one or more leaks in a pipe. The modular enclosure system including a first enclosure portion configured to be disposed in a mated configuration to create a first enclosure around the pipe. Each enclosure includes a first void section configured to enclose a pipe section of the pipe. Sealant grooves extend along enclosure faces of each enclosure to seal the modular enclosure system. Each enclosure includes a sealant control system having a plurality of blocking members and configured to selectively block sealant injected in the sealant grooves. Each of the blocking members are positionable between a blocking position configured to block sealant flow in at least one of the sealant grooves and a non-blocking position.

摘要: A new, innovative tool useful in fluidly coupling a lateral pipeline to a reinstated pipeline containing a continuous liner is provided. The pipeline reinstatement tool includes a flexible shaft that is coupled to a cutting head at a first end and a coupling assembly at a second end. The cutting head includes a hollow cylindrical member having cutting teeth that project longitudinally from the first end of the hollow cylindrical member. The tool includes a first compressible tensioner portion disposed about the flexible shaft proximate cutting head, a second compressible tensioner portion disposed about the flexible shaft proximate the coupling assembly, and a flexible sleeve portion disposed about the flexible shaft between the first compressible tensioner portion and the second compressible tensioner portion.

摘要: A strengthened polyethylene tubular member, where the polyethylene tubular member has an outer surface, a circumference, a wall thickness, an area to be strengthened, and the outer surface of the polyethylene tubular member contains polyethylene. The strengthened polyethylene tubular member contains a fabric layer wrapped around the circumference of the tubular member at least two full rotations and covering the area to be strengthened. The fabric layer contains a plurality of interwoven tape elements with a base layer of a strain oriented olefin polymer disposed between covering layers of a heat fusible olefin polymer. The tape elements within the fabric layer are bonded together and the tape elements adjacent the tubular member are bonded to the tubular member.

摘要: A reinforced pipe and a method of preparing the reinforced pipe are provided. The reinforced pipe has repair area where a wrinkle bend is present in a center section of the repair area. The reinforced pipe comprises a unidirectional fabric circumferentially wrapped around the repair area of the pipe so as to result in multiple layers of the unidirectional fabric around the repair area. The unidirectional fabric is composed of high-performance fibers with at least 90% of the high-performance fibers oriented in the 90° direction, and the unidirectional fabric is wrapped such that the high-performance fibers run in the axial direction. The reinforced pipe further comprises a bidirectional fabric wrapped of over the unidirectional fabric such the at least one layer of bidirectional fabric is wrapped over the unidirectional fabric.

摘要: A submersible mixing and sampling apparatus with submersible supply systems (12, 14) for first and second liquid components such as a thermoset resin and a curing agent is disclosed. Each supply system has a respective submersible tank (24) for holding a respective one of the liquid components. Submersible mixers (46, 48, 50) downstream of the supply systems mix the liquid components underwater to form a curable mixture for injection into a subsea chamber such as a tee (102). Submersible sampling devices downstream of the mixers take samples (94) of the mixture underwater before, during and after injection, and optionally also at the surface. The samples may be cured and tested underwater or may be lifted to the surface for testing. The apparatus may be mounted on a subsea skid (100) or basket.
