Abstract: This application relates to the field of communications technologies, and discloses example polar coding methods and apparatus, so as to improve accuracy of a reliability order of polarized channels. One example method includes determining a sequence used to code to-be-coded bits, and performing polar coding on the to-be-coded bits by using the sequence to obtain coded bits, where the sequence is used to represent a reliability order of N polarized channels, where N is a mother code length of a polar code, and wherein N is a positive integer power of 2.

Abstract: Embodiment techniques map parity bits to sub-channels based on their row weights. The row weight for a sub-channel may be viewed as the number of “ones” in the corresponding row of the Kronecker matrix or as a power of 2 with the exponent (i.e. the hamming weight) being the number of “ones” in the binary representation of the sub-channel index (further described below). In one embodiment, candidate sub-channels that have certain row weight values are reserved for parity bit(s). Thereafter, K information bits may be mapped to the K most reliable remaining sub-channels, and a number of frozen bits (e.g. N−K) may be mapped to the least reliable remaining sub-channels. Parity bits may then mapped to the candidate sub-channels, and parity bit values are determined based on a function of the information bits.

Abstract: User equipment and a cell handover method are provided. The method includes: sending measured signal quality information and channel rank feedback information that are of a source cell and of a neighboring cell to the source cell, where the signal quality information and the channel rank feedback information are used for determining, in the source cell, to send a handover message to the user equipment; after the handover message is received, connecting to the target cell by using at least one second antenna; and disconnecting from the source cell, and disabling at least one first antenna. Abstract: A communication method and a communication apparatus are provided. The method includes: a first device first checks a first bit sequence based on a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) code, to obtain a second bit sequence; then divides the second bit sequence into P bit sequences; and generates Q codewords based on the P bit sequences, and sends the Q codewords to a second device through P transport layers.
