Abstract:
A method includes, but is not limited to: obtaining status information about one or more physical attributes for each of the one or more first physical entities and for each of the one or more second physical entities, the obtaining status information performed at least in part by at least one of a machine, article of manufacture, or composition of matter, the one or more physical attributes each being perceived by one or more humans as being capable of having one or more effects upon one or more physical environments, receiving a selection of one or more first physical entities, the receiving the selection performed at least in part by at least one of a machine, article of manufacture, or composition of matter, the selection being based at least in part on each of the one or more first physical entities being associated with an electronic based social networking service, the selection of the one or more first physical entities for comparing the one or more first physical entities with one or more second physical entities, and determining assessment information by at least in part comparing the one or more first physical entities with the one or more second physical entities based at least in part upon the status information about the one or more physical attributes for each of the one or more first physical entities and for each of the one or more second physical entities, the determining assessment information performed at least in part by at least one of a machine, article of manufacture, or composition of matter. In addition to the foregoing, other related method/system aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and text forming a part of the present disclosure.

In addition to the foregoing, other related system/system aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and text forming a part of the present disclosure.
Abstract:
Methods, devices, and systems that store occurrence-data gathered by a distributed sensor network. In an approach, an exemplary method includes receiving a target-occurrence selection, storing a parameter sensed by a sensor of the network in a sensor data set, and searching the sensor data set for data correlating to the target-occurrence. Data correlating to the target-occurrence is stored, and the sensed parameter is deleted from the data set. In another approach, an exemplary system includes a data storage device, a computing device operable to communication with the distributed sensors, and instructions implementing the above method.
Abstract:
Carbon nanotube template arrays may be edited to form connections between proximate nanotubes and/or to delete undesired nanotubes or nanotube junctions.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of methods and systems for improving and enhancing vision are disclosed. Adjustable lenses or optical systems may be used to provide adaptive vision modification. In some embodiments, vision modification may be responsive to the current state of the user's visual system. Certain embodiments provide correction of the subject's near and far vision. Other embodiments provide enhancement of vision beyond the physiological ranges of focal length or magnification.
Abstract:
A computationally implemented method includes, but is not limited to: intercepting communiqué aspect data that is directed to an end user entity and that indicates one or more aspects of a communiqué directed to the end user entity and that is affiliated with a particular source entity, the intercepting of the communiqué aspect data being in accordance with one or more conditional directives of the end user entity to conditionally obfuscate the communiqué affiliated with the source entity; and transmitting to the end user entity, in response to intercepting the communiqué aspect data and in lieu of transmitting direct indication of the communiqué to the end user entity, covert indicator data that upon reception by the end user entity covertly indicates the one or more aspects of the communiqué. In addition to the foregoing, other method aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and text forming a part of the present disclosure.
Abstract:
Certain aspects relate to providing an at least one audio source to at least one user. Certain aspects relate to selectively modifying an at least one first sound source to be provided to the at least one user, wherein the at least one first sound source is combined with an at least one second sound source, and wherein the selectively modifying is performed relative to the at least one audio source based at least in part on at least some specific information of the at least one first sound source. Other aspects relate to selectively modifying the at least one first sound source to be provided to the at least one user relative to the at least one second sound source based at least in part on at least some specific information of the at least one first sound source.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for data brokering, and more specifically, data brokering regarding a data provider's search-related activities are described. In particular implementations, various aspects of offering the one or more data products to a plurality of potential data consumers for bid by the plurality of potential data consumers are described.
Abstract:
Embodiments of methods and systems for controlling access to information stored on memory or data storage devices are disclosed. In various embodiments, fluid-mediated modification of information or access to information is utilized. According to various embodiments, data storage devices designed for rotating access are described which include rotation-activated fluid control mechanisms.
Abstract:
An optical device includes an interface between two or more media. The refractive indices, orientations of media, and alignment relative to a propagating wave define a refractive boundary at which reflections may be reduced or eliminated, and at which, for certain incident angles, rays may be refracted on the same side of the normal as the incident ray.
