Abstract: Certain aspects may be implemented in a method for wireless communication. The method generally includes determining a counter downlink assignment index (cDAI) to be included in each of a plurality of downlink control information (DCI), each of a first subset of the plurality of DCI being on a control channel, and each of a second subset of the plurality of DCI being on a data channel, each of the first subset of the plurality of DCI scheduling one of the data channels, and wherein each of the control channels and the data channels is on a cell of a plurality of cells, the determination of the cDAIs being based on order of the cell, with respect to the plurality of cells, on which each of the cDAIs is to be transmitted; generating and outputting for transmission the control channels and data channels in accordance with the determination.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communication of downlink control information (DCI) piggybacked on a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) configured using semi persistent scheduling (SPS). A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a message having a configuration for semi persistent scheduling (SPS) of data channels, receiving an indication associated with at least one first downlink control information (DCI) for transmission in at least one of the data channels, and monitoring for the data channels in accordance with the configuration for SPS.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, such as a user equipment (UE) may transmit a message to a base station (e.g., a NodeB, an eNodeB (eNB), a next-generation NodeB or a giga-NodeB (either of which may be referred to as a gNB)) in wireless communications with the UE. The message may include a UE capability to append a preamble waveform to an uplink transmission to the base station. In some examples, a preamble waveform may include a Wi-Fi preamble or a new radio unlicensed (NR-U) preamble. Based on the UE capability, the base station may determine and transmit a preamble configuration to the UE, which the UE may use to generate and append a preamble waveform to another message for an uplink transmission to the base station.

Abstract: Various procedures associated with autonomous uplink (AUL) are disclosed. In order to address the mismatch between listen before talk (LBT) and AUL bandwidth a fractional sensing channel is defined less than 20 MHz. Accordingly, a user equipment (UE) may use the fractional sensing channel to perform LBT only on the resources allocated for AUL. Contention window update may further be modified for transmissions spanning multiple transmission opportunities (TxOPs). A contention window update may occur over all transmission channels considering full acknowledgement information of each TxOP, a percentage of acknowledgement information weighted on the number of channels, a percentage of acknowledgement information weighted on the ratio of resources on each channel, or by selecting a primary channel of the multiple channels for the contention window update. In repetition scenarios, the reference transmission for contention window updates may be selected depending on whether all repetitions are within one or multiple TxOPs.

Abstract: Techniques for location determination of user equipment (UE) are provided. In an aspect, a position estimation entity (e.g., UE, gNB, LMF, etc.) identifies a pool of UEs for a SL-assisted position estimation procedure of a set of target UEs. SL SRS-Ps are communicated (e.g., transmitted and measured) between the pool of UEs (e.g., for relative SL ranging). UL SRS-Ps are communicated by at least some of the UEs in the pool of UEs. The position estimation entity obtains measurement data for both the SL SRS-P and UL-SRS-P communications. The position estimation entity determines a position estimate for each UE in the set of UEs based on the measurement information.

The UE may transmit the sidelink data message via first resource elements that are different from second resource elements on which the one or more bursts of sidelink positioning reference signals are transmitted.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for uplink power control. A user equipment (UE) in communication with a base station may select a power control configuration for low latency or high reliability communications or semi-persistently scheduled communications. In some cases, a power control configuration may correspond to a reception point in a multi-reception-point environment. In some cases, the power control configuration may indicate a default transmit power for uplink communications. In some cases, a UE may perform, at the physical layer, measurements on a signal received from the base station and use this information to determine or select a transmit power for uplink communications. Selecting the low latency power control configuration may include selecting a set of transmit powers or a step size for transmit power adjustments specific to low latency or high reliability communications or semi-persistently scheduled communications.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication includes performing, by a user equipment (UE) device, a channel sensing operation during a first window of a frame period associated with a wireless communication network. Performing the channel sensing operation includes performing a direction-based scan of one or more beams associated with the wireless communication network, and the channel sensing operation is included in a joint sensing operation performed with a base station. The method further includes, based at least in part on a result of the channel sensing operation, determining whether to perform, during a second window of the frame period, one or more communication operations with the base station.
