    Abstract: A method of decoding a backhaul downlink signal of a relay node (RN). A higher layer signal indicating a maximum transmission rank is received from a base station (BS). Control information is received through a relay control channel from the BS. The control information is demodulated and mapped to resource elements (REs) which do not overlap with user equipment-specific reference signal (URS) REs in a control region which is used for the relay control channel transmission of the BS. The URS REs are reserved REs for URSs according to the maximum transmission rank. The control information is demodulated based on URSs transmitted by the BS on one fixed antenna port n, where n is a natural number.

    Abstract: A method for performing, by a first device, channel coding of data to be transmitted to a second device, the method includes: determining a size of a transport block for the data; attaching a first cyclic redundancy check (CRC) code to the transport block having the determined size to produce a first CRC-attached transport block; and segmenting the first CRC-attached transport block into multiple code blocks, wherein the size of the transport block is determined from among a plurality of predetermined transport block sizes such that the multiple code blocks have a same size as each other.

    Abstract: A method for receiving a Relay Physical Downlink Control CHannel (R-PDCCH) by a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The method includes receiving a downlink subframe including one or more aggregated resource blocks including resource elements. The resource elements are mapped in increasing order of first a subcarrier index, and then a symbol index. The method further includes monitoring the R-PDCCH on the one or more aggregated resource blocks. The one or more aggregated resource blocks are numbered based on an aggregation level and a number of the one or more aggregated resource blocks corresponding to the aggregation level.
