Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for retransmission and selection of HARQ and MCS based on partial sensing. A UE may perform a partial sensing procedure to identify one or more available resources for a sidelink transmission of the UE and transmit the sidelink transmission on a resource selected from the one or more available resources. The sidelink transmission may include at least one of a HARQ retransmission parameter or an MCS selected for the sidelink transmission based on at least one of a number of candidate slots for the partial sensing procedure, a quantity of the one or more available resources within the number of candidate slots, or a number of times that a threshold for a minimum amount of the one or more available resources is increased.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a payload for inclusion in an uplink transmission. The UE may organize the payload into a code block group (CBG) that includes one or more code blocks (CB). The UE may map each CB of the CBG to a corresponding uplink shared channel resource unit (e.g., a physical uplink shared channel resource unit) of an uplink transmission occasion of the first UE. The uplink transmission occasion may also be shared with one or more additional UEs such that the CBG of the first UE is multiplexed with additional CBGs from the additional UEs. The UE may transmit, to a base station, the uplink transmission including each uplink shared channel resource unit on which the CBG is organized.

Abstract: To facilitate coexistence of a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided. An example method of a first wireless device operating based on a RAT includes receiving a sidelink resource reservation from a second wireless device based on a second RAT, the sidelink resource reservation indicating a first set of resources. The example method further includes determining whether to exclude, from a candidate resource set for the first RAT within a sidelink resource pool for the first RAT, resources that overlap with the set of reserved resources for the second RAT. The example method further includes transmitting a sidelink transmission using one or more sidelink transmission resources selected from the candidate resource set in the sidelink resource pool for the first RAT.

Abstract: Aspects relate to techniques for MCS selection of a packet to be network coded for sidelink communication. A transmitting UE may encode a packet using an MCS that is greater than a normal MCS that may be used for encoding the packet without network coding. The transmitting UE may then transmit the encoded packet to one or more receiving UEs and a network coding device over a sidelink data channel. The transmitting UE may further transmit a network coding request flag associated with the packet to initiate one or more retransmissions of the packet by the network coding device.
