Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a reduced-capability user equipment (UE) receives, from each of one or more premium UEs, one or more parameters indicating a quality of a location estimate of the premium UE, selects at least one premium UE based on the quality of the location estimate of the at least one premium UE, and derives a location estimate of the reduced-capability UE based on the location estimate of the at least one premium UE. In another aspect, a reduced-capability UE transmits, to at least one premium UE, a request to perform one or more positioning measurements of one or more downlink reference signals, receives, from the at least one premium UE, a measurement report comprising the one or more positioning measurements, and determines a location estimate of the reduced-capability UE based on the one or more positioning measurements in the measurement report.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a non-terrestrial network (NTN) entity, a message that is associated with an uplink grant. The UE may select, based at least in part on the message, either a cell-specific offset or an updated offset that is indicated after initial access, as a timing offset that accounts for a propagation delay between a base station of the NTN and the UE. The UE may transmit, to the NTN entity, an uplink communication using the timing offset. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support dormant bandwidth part (BWP) configurations that may be used for full-duplex operation. In a first aspect, a user equipment (UE) in a full-duplex mode may, in at least one symbol, receive a downlink signal in a dormant downlink BWP and transmit an uplink signal in an uplink BWP. In a second aspect, a dormant downlink BWP may be further configured into one of multiple possible resource bandwidths (RBWs), which may include at least one dormant RBW. Each of the multiple RBWs that may be configured in the dormant BWP may be associated with a size and location as well as a set of one or more operational constraints. In a third aspect, a dormant downlink BWP may be further configured into one of multiple possible RBWs, which may include a downlink dormant RBW and an uplink dormant RBW.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques described herein relate to a network entity indicating a configuration for a user equipment (UE) for wake up radio signaling when the main radio of the UE is in a sleep mode. The UE may monitor for and receive, using the wake up radio, a wake up signal, a low power reference signal, or a low power synchronization signal from a second UE in accordance with the configuration. If the UE receives a wake up signal from the second UE, the UE may establish communications with the second UE or with the network entity based on the wake up signal.

Abstract: Non-terrestrial networks (NTNs) may establish uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) radio frame timing structures to efficiently account for propagation delay and propagation delay variation associated with communications in the NTN. NTNs may manage (synchronize) radio frame timing structures of base stations (e.g., satellites) and user equipment (UEs) in the NTN. Further, UEs may determine timing advance (TA) values to be applied to UL transmissions based on their respective scheduling offset (e.g., offset in UL and DL radio frame timing structures), as well as based on propagation delay or round trip time (RTT). As such, served UEs may determine UL timing such that UL transmissions from the UEs to a satellite arrives at the satellite in a time synchronized manner. In other cases, a satellite may determine UL timing, based on reception timing, such that various UEs in the NTN may implement uniform UL and DL radio frame timing structures.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling indicating a set of connected discontinuous reception (C-DRX) configurations. The set of C-DRX configurations may include a first C-DRX configuration and a second C-DRX configuration, where at least one C-DRX configuration in the set of C-DRX configurations is a UE-group common C-DRX configuration. The set of C-DRX configurations may correspond to a discontinuous transmission (DTX) cycle of the base station. The UE may select a C-DRX configuration from the set of C-DRX configurations based on receiving the control signaling from the base station. Accordingly, the UE may use the selected C-DRX configuration to communicate with the base station. The selected C-DRX configuration may enable the base station to operate with reduced power consumption and higher DTX efficiency, among other benefits.

A user equipment (UE) may release a connection with a first network entity and determine a first virtual coverage area of the UE based on a geographic location of the UE associated with the release of the connection. The UE may obtain a message that includes area information. The area information may be indicative of one or more second virtual coverage areas, which the UE may use in determining whether to monitor for a paging early indication (PEI). Based on the first virtual coverage area and the one or more second virtual coverage areas may monitor for a paging message, such as the PEI or downlink control information (DCI) associated with a paging occasion.
