Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for recovering a sidelink communication. A wireless node may receive a plurality of sidelink communications, each sidelink communication between two user equipments (UEs); and transmit recovery information in a recovery slot, wherein the recovery information is for recovery of at least one of the sidelink communications by the two UEs or other UEs that transmitted when at least one of the sidelink communications occurred and wherein the recovery slot is for transmission of the recovery information.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to receiving at least one indication of a capability to simultaneously transmit using two different radio access technology (RAT) sidelinks over respective frequency bands, receiving a time delta indication specifying a time delta from the time a sidelink grant, corresponding to a first RAT sidelink of the two different RAT sidelinks, is received to the time when resources of the sidelink grant can be used by the UE, and transmitting, based on receiving the time delta indication, at least one of the sidelink grant or a second sidelink grant for a second RAT sidelink of the two different RAT sidelinks.

Abstract: Techniques disclosed provide for enhanced V2X communications by defining information Elements (IE) for V2X messaging between V2X entities. For a transmitting vehicle that sends a V2X message to a receiving vehicle, these IEs are indicative of a detected vehicle model type detected by the transmitting vehicle of a detected vehicle; a pitch rate of the transmitting vehicle, a detected vehicle, or a detected object; a roll rate of the transmitting vehicle, a detected vehicle, or a detected object; a yaw rate of a detected vehicle, or a detected object; a pitch rate confidence; a roll rate confidence; an indication of whether a rear brake light of a detected vehicle is on; or an indication of whether a turning signal of a detected vehicle is on; or any combination thereof. With this information, the receiving vehicle is able to make more intelligent maneuvers than otherwise available through traditional V2X messaging.

The apparatus generally includes a processing system configured to determine a size of a transport block for a data channel based on a quantity of available resource elements of an allocation of resources for the transport block, the resources being allocated for transmission of data encoded in a plurality of slots of the data channel using slot aggregation, wherein the allocated resources in the plurality of slots have different quantities of available resource elements for the data, and generate the data channel in accordance with the determined size of the transport block, and an interface configured output the data channel for transmission.

The eNB indicates to the UE(s) one or more resources in which the UE(s) is to transmit the ACKs/NACKs for the received DL transmissions or is to receive the ACKs/NACKs for sent UL transmissions. The eNB indicates to the UE(s) a subset of the DL transmissions to the UE(s) for which the UE(s) is to transmit the ACKs/NACKs or a subset of the UL transmissions by the UE(s) for which the UE(s) is to receive the ACKs/NACKs.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable mediums for wireless communication are provided. One apparatus is configured to receive at least one SA from at least one UE. The apparatus is further configured to determine an energy associated with each at least one SA. The apparatus is also configured to rank data transmission time-frequency resources based on the determined energy associated with said each received at least one SA. Each at least one SA are associated with a different subset of the data transmission time-frequency resources. The apparatus is further configured to select a set of data transmission time-frequency resources based on the ranked data transmission time-frequency resources and to send a data transmission on the selected set of data transmission time-frequency resources. Another apparatus is configured to partitioning time-frequency resources into different resource groups, to divide UEs into UE groups based on location, and map the UE groups to the resource groups.

In some aspects, a transmitting UE is configured to determine an intended range for a service group, and transmit a message for the service group based, at least in part, on the intended range. In some aspects, the transmitting UE is configured to receive HARQ feedback from at least one receiving UE, measure a signal strength for the HARQ feedback, and determine whether to resend the message based on the signal strength measured for the HARQ feedback.

Abstract: An improved manner of transmitting and receiving messages in V2X/V2V/D2D is presented in which a transmitting device determines a geographic location of the mobile transmitting device and generates a message for a service group having a group ID associated with the service group, the message comprising a first indication of a geographic area associated with the message, the geographic area based at least in part on the geographic location of the transmitting device. Then, the apparatus transmits the message to the service group, e.g., via V2X/V2V/D2D communication. A receiving device then determines its geographic location and determines whether to send a feedback for the message based on the first indication of the geographic area associated with the message and the geographic location of the receiving device.

Abstract: Aspects directed towards a network-assisted sidelink scheduling operation are disclosed. In one example, a scheduled entity receives a grant of resources from a scheduling entity operating according to a legacy radio access technology (RAT), and translates the grant of resources from a legacy configuration of resources to a non-legacy configuration of resources. The scheduled entity then performs a sidelink communication via the non-legacy configuration of resources. In another example, a scheduling entity operating according to a legacy RAT transmits a system information block (SIB) to a scheduled entity indicating that the scheduling entity can allocate non-legacy resources. The scheduling entity then receives a request for resources from the scheduled entity that corresponds to a non-legacy sidelink communication, and provides a grant of resources to the scheduled entity that includes a non-legacy-specific frequency for transmitting the non-legacy sidelink communication.
