    摘要: An input image is digitized. The corresponding digital video data are reproduced while they are successively recorded on a magnetic video device. A successive recording control unit manages at which position of a successive recording area the digital data are to be successively recorded to realize the endless recording in a limitative recording area. When an event occurs, the control unit manages to exclude the recorded image before and after the corresponding event image from the endless recording area so that the event image can be held as an event recording image. Since the monitored image can be reproduced while it is recorded, it can be reproduced timely retroactively, and the image before and after an event occurs can also be reproduced instantaneously. Further, since the recording is continued while the image is reproduced, event images corresponding to plural events can be left.

Further selection and interleaving the selected frames within the shots and collections can be done to satisfy resource constraints like utilization of bandwidth. Interleaving is performed in storage and transmission of the frames to improve presentation of video information and to simultaneously display selected frames on a computer display to convey the dynamic of video. The system and method permit a dynamic summary of video information to be sent to a user over a network, while reducing resources (bandwidth) used by the network for the amount of information presented to the user.

    摘要: In a video tape recorder capable of recording information for a long time, first and second rotary heads are angularly spaced by 180.degree. and are arranged without a step between their respective planes of rotation. In a frame recording operation, an odd field of a frame is recorded by the first head in a first track on the tape while the latter is in a stationary condition and an even field of the same frame is stored in a field memory, whereupon, the tape is intermittently driven a distance corresponding to the track pitch and then, while the tape is again in its stationary condition, the stored even field is read from the memory and recorded by the second head in a second track adjacent the first track. In a frame still reproducing operation, with the tape in its stationary condition, the odd field recorded in the first track is reproduced by the first head and stored in the memory, and then the tape is advanced one track pitch and with the tape again in its stationary condition the second head repeatedly reproduces the even field recorded in the second track in interleaved relation with the stored odd field repeatedly read from the memory. In an alternative field still reproducing operation, one of the odd and even fields is repeatedly reproduced by the respective one of the rotary heads during scanning of the respective one of the tracks with the tape in it its stationary condition and is stored in the memory, whereupon, that one field stored in the memory is repeatedly read therefrom during scanning of that one track by the other rotary head, and the field repeatedly read from the memory is interleaved with the same field repeatedly reproduced from the tape.

The selected pseudo vertical sync signal is added to the video signal. A FM signal recorded on the same recording track is reproduced, for instance, three times by the first head and the second head by one field for each head.

    摘要: The present invention is a video signal controller which can operate in one of two modes; play back mode and recording mode. Each camera has its own assigned display monitor and address code sequence. During operation of the video controller, each video signal is combined with its corresponding address signal that identifies from which camera the video signal is originally generated. The video signal and each address signal are then recorded via VTR onto a video tape. When the video signal controller is in play back mode, it extracts the synchronization signal and address signals from signals outputted by the VTR. The address signal and synchronization signals are used to locate and identify proper monitor to display its corresponding segment of signals from the VTR. Each monitor then plays back only those signals generated from its corresponding camera.
