摘要： A method for wrapping a roll of steel or other coiled material which includes the selection of a tear-resistant sheet of proportions to accommodate a steel roll. The sheet is folded along lines parallel to its width, and holes are punched through the folded sheet at the upper and lower ends of the sheet, forming a plurality of upper holes and a plurality of lower holes. The sheet is unfolded and ropes or strings are threaded through each set of holes. A roll of steel is placed on the sheet and the sheet is wrapped circumferentially around the roll and secured with adhesive tape. The strings are then drawn tightly, pulling the sheet radially over the roll of steel such that the sheet overlaps the aperture of the core of the roll. The overlapping portions of the sheet are bent inside of the core, and inner diameter protectors are placed in the core to secure the sheet. A system for wrapping a roll of steel is also disclosed.

摘要： A film negative and matching proof are held for storage in a receptacle formed from a unitary body of flexible material folded to form panels positioned in overlying relation to form a first pocket and a second pocket. One panel is common to both pockets and serves as a boundary layer between the pockets positioned in back-to-back relationship. One pocket is closed along opposite lateral sides and at one end portion with the opposite end portion remaining open to receive the negative protected against undesired contact. The second pocket is positioned to receive the proof along an open end portion and an open lateral side with the opposite end portion and lateral side being closed to facilitate ease of insertion and removal of the proof.

摘要： A mailer bag is fabricated from a rectilinear blank formed of paper, paperboard or the like and has two parallel score lines for folding, with one of the panels having a plurality of equally spaced, parallel cuts formed therein extending from one leading edge for a major portion of the length along the panel to a location near the opposite edge so that when folded over and glued, the uncut section serves to seal one end of the mailer. Glue is applied to alternate sites on the two end, or outer, panels so that when the cut end panel is folded over to meet with the center panel, and the other end panel is folded over on top of the other two panels, the cut panel sections will adhere in an alternating manner to the appropriate glued matching sections of the other two panels. The result is a mailer bag, open at one end, sealed at the opposite end, the walls of the mailer bag consisting of one of said panels and having adhered to the inside surface of each of said panel, a plurality, usually two, of equal sized, spaced apart sections of the cut panel.

At each side of the row of openings is a respective pair of fold lines. The fold lines have respective slots along them for receiving therein the edges of supported jars. The slots in the fold lines further from the openings receive the edges of jars which are disposed in the space inside the folded support above the first-mentioned jars. A tab-in-slot connection holds the support folded.

摘要： A package and a method and apparatus for producing same are set forth. The package preferably is made of two single-faced corrugated sheets having cohesive corrugated surfaces. A lower sheet has side walls bent upwardly at edge portions thereof and flanges bent outwardly from the upper edges of the walls. An upper sheet bridges an object to be packaged located on the main portion of the lower sheet between the side walls, and has edge portions adhered to the flanges of the lower sheet. The ends of the two sheets are pressed to cause them to adhere together with the side walls simultaneously being folded outwardly at the centers and adhered to themselves. In the machine and method for producing the package, a first web has side walls bent upwardly and flanges outwardly by suitable folding rails as the web is moved longitudinally in a horizontal direction. After the object is added, a second web is brought downwardly near the first web with the side edges of the second web and the flanges of the lower web pressed together. The trailing end of one package and the leading end of another package are then pressed together and severed along a central line to complete the operation.
