Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for operating a base station in a wireless communication system. Capability information on an aggregation operation using a first RAT and a second RAT, is received from a terminal. A first message including a SSID of an access node and information on an authentication for the access node, is transmitted to the terminal. A second message for requesting to allocate a resource of the second RAT, is transmitted to the access node. First data is transmitted to the terminal by using on the first RAT and second data is transmitted to the terminal via the access node by using the second RAT, after the terminal performs an association and the authentication with the access node based on the SSID and the information on the authentication. The base station supports the first RAT. The access node supports the second RAT.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting power headroom information by a terminal in a mobile communication system. The method includes receiving, by the terminal, information on an allocated uplink transmission resource; determining whether a path loss has changed more than a threshold, after transmitting last power headroom information, when the terminal has the allocated uplink transmission resource; if the path loss has changed more than the threshold when the terminal has the allocated uplink transmission resource, determining a transmission of the power headroom information; and transmitting an uplink packet including the power headroom information using the allocated uplink transmission resource. The power headroom information is obtained based on a difference between a maximum transmission power of the terminal and a transmission power of the terminal.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and device for receiving a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) in a mobile communication system. The method for receiving the MBMS of a terminal in the mobile communication system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is characterized in that it includes: determining whether service area ID (SAI) information on a serving cell is broadcast during the MBMS; receiving the SAI information on the serving cell when it is determined that the SAI information is broadcast; determining, by using the received SAI information of the serving cell, whether an SAI of the MBMS matches the SAI of the serving cell; and changing the cell reselection priority of the frequency of the serving cell to the highest priority if it is determined that the SAI of the MBMS matches the SAI of the serving cell.

Abstract: A method is provided for communicating with a User Equipment (UE) supporting a High Power Saving Reception Mode (HPSRM) mode by an evolved Node B (eNB) in a wireless communication system. The method includes receiving. Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle information from a network entity performing mobility management for the UE by the eNB communicating with the UE over a wireless link; and broadcasting system information including the DRX cycle information. The DRX cycle information is set longer than DRX cycle information of a UE non-supporting the HPSRM mode. By doing so, an efficient paging method for an UE operating in the HPSRM mode may be provided.
