The UE may measure another beam set in accordance with a measurement schedule configured to prioritize measurement on one or more adjacent beam sets associated with the serving beam set over one or more non-adjacent beam sets associated with the serving beam set. In some aspects, the one or more adjacent beam sets may be associated with one or more coverage areas that at least partially overlap a coverage area of the serving beam set, are adjacent to the coverage area of the serving beam set, or are associated with a measurement value that satisfies a threshold in the coverage area of the serving beam set. Abstract: A base station may receive from a user equipment (UE) a proactive notification that the UE will perform a beam switch from a first UE beam to a second UE beam. In response, the base station may determine a beam switch slot on which the UE will perform the synchronized beam switch, and perform a link transient mitigation operation for communications with the UE after UE beam switch and until updating channel state information associated with a new UE beam. The base station may then receive from the UE channel state information feedback for a channel associated with the second UE beam, and adjust downlink data transmission parameters to be aligned with the second UE beam based on the received channel state information feedback (CSF). The base station may also adjust uplink data transmission parameters based on a sounding reference signal transmitted by the UE over the second UE beam.

A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes determining, from a synchronization signal burst set, a first set of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) to forgo performing measurements on using one or more receive beams based, at least in part, on one or more previous measurements associated with the determined first set of SSBs and performing measurements on only one or more remaining SSBs in the synchronization signal burst set using the one or more receive beams.
