Abstract: An integrated access and backhaul (IAB) donor central unit (CU) may transmit, to an IAB-node, a plurality of messages for a child of the IAB-node, the plurality of messages including a first message being associated with a first condition, and a second message being associated with a second condition, and transmit an indication instructing the IAB to forward, to the child, the first message if a first condition is met or the second message if a second condition is met. The IAB-node may receive, from the IAB-donor-CU, the indication, determine that one condition among the first condition and the second condition has occurred, forward one of the first message or the second message to the child based on the occurrence of the one condition, and discard the other of the first message or the second message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support delaying the application of reconfiguration messages. An integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node transmit or receive, along a first signaling path, a reconfiguration message indicating the first IAB node to postpone applying a reconfiguration message until a second signaling path becomes available. The first IAB node may send a reconfiguration complete message to a first IAB donor node along the first path and wait to perform a procedure with the first IAB donor node. When the second path becomes available, the first IAB node and the second IAB node may then perform the procedure. In some cases, delaying the reconfiguration may involve postponing the forwarding of messages received at the first IAB node.

Abstract: Present disclosure provides techniques for migrating integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes from the source centralized unit (CU) to a target IAB-donor-CU of a base station. Features of the present disclosure achieve such migration by configuring the IAB distributed unit (IAB-DU) to establish F1-connection (F1-C) with the target IAB-donor-CU via the source path before the user equipment (UE) context transfer occurs. To this end, the source IAB-donor-CU may initiate an F1-C establishment between IAB-node DU and target IAB-donor-CU. The source IAB-donor-CU may do so by acting or presenting as an IAB-node-DU proxy to the target IAB-donor-CU. At the same time, the source IAB-donor-CU may act or present as a target-IAB-donor-CU proxy to the IAB-node-DU. Thus, in some cases, the source IAB-donor-CU may present as both the IAB-node-DU proxy (to the target IAB-donor-CU) and as a target-IAB-donor-CU proxy (to the IAB-node-DU).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for dynamic indication of tracking references signal (TRS) and wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) that is operating in a first operating mode may receive one or more TRS parameters from a network entity for the UE to perform channel measurements associated with one or more TRSs. The UE may receive a dynamic paging indicator message that indicates a set of updated TRS parameters. The dynamic paging indicator may include at least one TRS parameter that is different from the one or more TRS parameters. In one aspect, the apparatus may send a request to a second BS to configure a backhaul routing path via the second BS to a third BS that has a signaling connection to the first BS. The apparatus may also communicate, with the second BS, a first backhaul adaptation protocol (BAP) configuration associated with the backhaul routing path. The apparatus may also transmit a second BAP configuration to the third BS in association with the communicated first BAP configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support mobility optimization for network energy saving. In some cases, user equipment (UE), operating in an idle or inactive mode, may receive an indication of an operation mode from a set of operation modes, where each network entity of a set of network entities is associated with an operation mode from the set of operation modes, including at least an energy saving mode and a baseline mode. The UE may calculate a set of values for each network entity based on the received indication and one or more parameters associated with the operation mode of a respective network entity. Additionally, the UE may select a network entity from the set of network entities based on each value of the set of values associated with the selected network entity being greater than one or more thresholds.
