Abstract: Wireless communication systems and methods related to Radio Link Control (RLC) status reporting are provided. A wireless communication device receives one or more radio link control (RLC) packet data units (PDUs) of a sequence of RLC PDUs. The wireless communication device determines missing RLC data PDUs in the sequence of RLC PDUs based on the received one or more RLC PDUs. The wireless communication device receives a first uplink (UL) grant. The wireless communication device transmits a first RLC status report including an indication of a first subset of the missing RLC PDUs less than all the missing RLC PDUs, the indication of the first subset of missing PDUs being based on a size of the first UL grant. The wireless communication device modifies a RLC status prohibit timer based on the transmitted first RLC status report indicating less than all the missing RLC PDUs.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for uplink transport protocol acknowledgment shaping and downlink data shaping at a user equipment. A method that may be performed by the UE generally includes determining an allowed number of transport protocol acknowledgments to transmit in a transmission time interval (TTI); and transmitting one or more transport protocol acknowledgments in the TTI based, at least in part, on the determined allowed number of transport protocol acknowledgments. Another method that may be performed by the UE generally includes determining an allowed number of downlink data units to transmit in a TTI; and transmitting one or more data units in the TTI based, at least in part, on the determined allowed number of data units.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for handling uplink grants that have associated uplink transmission that may exceed exposure limits. Exposure limits may be based on maximum permissible exposure (MPE) limits of millimeter wave transmissions and may be determined at a user equipment (UE) and provided to a base station. If the UE receives an uplink grant for a transmission in which an associated uplink transmission would exceed the exposure limits, the UE may drop the uplink transmission prior to forming a transport block, transmit control signaling to the base station to indicate the exposure limits at the UE, or combinations thereof.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for routing modification based on handover detection in UEs and network equipment. According to the principles of the present specification, communication between a User Equipment (UE) and a network equipment may be established over a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT, and a coupling between the first RAT and the second RAT may be identified in the communication between the UE and the network equipment. A handover event associated with at least one of the RATs may be identified, and network traffic routing may be adapted based at least in part on the identified handover event and the coupling between the first RAT and the second RAT.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) may wake up from a sleep mode of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle based on receipt of uplink data. The UE may determine if an elapsed time between a prior receipt of one or more reference signals and an uplink transmission to the base station after waking up from the sleep mode is less than a threshold time value. If the elapsed time is less than the threshold time value, the UE may transmit an uplink transmission associated with the received uplink data prior to receiving one or more reference signals that may be used to update transmission parameters for uplink transmissions. If the elapsed time is at or above the threshold value, the UE may wait to receive the one or more reference signals and update the transmission parameters prior to the uplink transmission.

In some aspects, a wireless receiver may receive, from a radio bearer configured to use header compression and at a lower layer of the wireless receiver, a plurality of packets based at least in part on the header compression, wherein the lower layer receives the plurality of packets in an out-of-order sequence. The wireless receiver may deliver, from the lower layer of the wireless receiver to a higher layer of the wireless receiver, the plurality of packets, after header decompression according to the out-of-order sequence, based at least in part on at least one threshold. Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for managing scheduling requests (SRs) in a user equipment (UE) that supports a split data radio bearer (DRB). In some aspects, the UE may trigger a first SR for a first communication link and a second SR for a second communication link in response to determining that a first amount of data in the UE data buffer is greater than a first threshold. The UE may transmit the first SR to a first base station (BS) via the first communication link. Prior to transmission of the second SR, the UE may determine whether a second amount of data in the UE data buffer is less than a second threshold. The UE may cancel the second SR in response to the second amount of data in the UE data buffer being less than the second threshold.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe transmitting data in wireless communications. A set of packets for transmission in a defined sequence can be received where the set of packets includes two or more packets. It can be detected that a packet, of the set of packets, is a prioritized packet type. The packet can be prioritized for transmission ahead of its order in the defined sequence based on the detection of the prioritized packet type. The packet can be transmitted ahead of its order in the defined sequence to an access point.

The UE may identify packets for transmission, and each of the packets may be associated with a sequence number. The UE may receive a first grant of first uplink resources and a second grant of second uplink resources, and the UE may determine an association of the packets to the first uplink resources or the second uplink resources based on the sequence numbers of the packets and respective completion times of decoding processes associated with the first uplink resources and the second uplink resources. The UE may transmit the packets over the first uplink resources or the second uplink resources in accordance with the determined association of the packets to the first uplink resources or the second uplink resources.
