The manifold includes a first base which may define a first inlet configured to direct fuel flow to a first filter element, and a first outlet configured to direct fuel flow from the first filter element to the second filter element. The manifold includes a second base operably coupled to the first base. The second base may define a barrier which prevents the fuel flow from flowing from the first inlet to the second filter element without passing through the first filter element. The second base may also define a second inlet configured to receive fuel flow from the first outlet and direct the fuel flow to the second filter element, and a second outlet configured to receive the fuel flow from the second filter element.

    摘要: A vent-on-demand fuel sump and vehicle fuel system having such a fuel sump are provided. The fuel sump may include a pressurized vessel and at least two sensors configured to detect a level of fuel within the vessel. A valve coupled to the vessel may be configured to release air and/or fuel vapor to the atmosphere. The fuel sump may also include a programmable electronic controller configured to modulate the valve between a closed position and an open position based on signals received from the sensors corresponding to the fuel level. The valve may be configured to remain in the closed position until the fuel level drops below a predetermined level and the controller sends a signal to open the valve to release air and/or fuel vapor from the vessel into the atmosphere. The vehicle fuel system having such a fuel sump may include a fuel container and an engine having an intake. The pressurized vessel of the fuel sump may include a fuel inlet coupled to the fuel container and a fuel outlet coupled to the engine intake.

A portion of the flange overmolded on the portion of the periphery of the fuel port defines fitting structure (25) having second barb structure (27). A hose (30) is coupled with the first end of the fuel port and with the fitting structure with the first and second barb structures engaging the hose thereby preventing fuel or fuel vapor from passing between the periphery of the fuel port and the overmolded flange.

A plurality of metal wire strands from the plurality of different metals is disposed in the housing. Angular and directional fuel flow is generated by a fluid mixing device mounted in the housing. The mixer is a stationary turbine with a plurality of radially extending blades, circumferentially disposed in the housing. Improvements include an annular ring holding the blades, a central hub in the ring and additional or secondary flow directing blades. A cone or frustoconical segment may be attached or be part of the forward end of the hub to direct the fuel radially outward.
