Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may reduce a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) ratio for an uplink transmission. The UE may receive an indication of an allowed error vector magnitude (EVM) for each of an uplink data signal, an uplink reference signal, and an uplink control signal from a base station. The base station may determine the allowed EVM based on a signal to noise ratio (SNR) for the UE measured at the base station. The UE may generate one or more uplink signals. The UE may apply a PAPR reduction to the one or more uplink signals based on the allowed EVM corresponding to each of the one or more uplink signals. The UE may transmit the one or more uplink signals to the base station.

Abstract: A transmitting device may reduce a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) ratio by clipping samples that have an amplitude exceeding a threshold. For a downlink transmission, the transmitting device may transmit an incremental peak suppression information message (PSIM) to multiple user equipments (UEs). A UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating a data and a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for the UE, and at least a first incremental PSIM. The UE may decode at least the first incremental PSIM that is applicable to a MCS lower than or equal to the MCS for the UE. The UE may determine whether to decode one or more subsequent incremental PSIMs based on the MCS for the UE. The UE may apply peak information from the incremental PSIMs to the data channel. The UE may decode the data channel based on the MCS for the UE.

The wireless device may receive a configuration for a resource pool for sidelink communication, the resource pool having a plurality of physical resource blocks (PRBs) including a first set of PRBs that are grouped in one or more sub-channels, each sub-channel having an equal number of PRBs, and a second set of PRBs that are not in the one or more sub-channels having the equal number of PRBs. The apparatus may transmit in the second set of PRBs. The second set of PRBs may not be monitored by a receiving device.

Abstract: In order to enable asynchronous, autonomous reception beam switching at a UE while minimizing degradation due to a transient in link performance, a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives CSI-RS on different reception beams in different symbols, wherein one reception beam being a current serving reception beam, and determines whether to switch to a different reception beam based on a SPEFF metric for the different reception beam and/or a severity of a potential link transient qualified in terms of the expected CQI/MCS degradation in the channel. The apparatus may switch from a current serving reception beam to a second reception beam when a first channel quality for the current serving reception beam is within a threshold value of a second channel quality for the second reception beam, the second channel quality being measured using a current configuration.

Abstract: The choice of a transmit (Tx)-Receive (Rx) beam pair out of many available beam pairs between a base station and a millimeter wave (mmW)-capable UE is directly related to the performance of transmission between the base station and the UE. A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium at a transmitting user equipment (UE) capable of (mmW) communication are disclosed to determine a new serving Tx-Rx beam pair based on priorities of the plurality of Tx-Rx beam pairs. The UE may select a Transmit (Tx)-Receive (Rx) beam pair from a plurality of Tx-Rx beam pairs available at the UE for measurement, based in part on a priority of the Tx-Rx beam pair, and update the priority of the selected Tx-Rx beam pair based in part on a combination of static information and dynamic information of the selected Tx-Rx beam pair.
