摘要: Embodiments of a multi-radio platform (MRP) and method for coordinating activities between a broadband wireless access network (BWAN) transceiver and a co-located transceiver are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the BWAN transceiver includes a MRP coexistence controller that generates a co-located coexistence (CLC) request message in response to a request from the co-located transceiver for transmission to a BWAN base station to reserve time for communications by the co-located transceiver. The CLC request message may include parameters for a requested CLC class. When a CLC class is accepted by the base station, the BWAN base station may refrain from scheduling communications with the BWAN transceiver during the reserved time to allow interference-free communications between the co-located transceiver a local wireless device.

In one aspect, a microelectrode sensing device includes a printed circuit board (PCB), a chip unit electrically connected to the PCB, and a cell culture chamber positioned over the chip unit and sealed to the PCB with the chip unit between the PCB and the cell culture chamber. The chip unit includes a substrate; a conductive layer positioned over the substrate that includes one or more recording electrodes; an insulation layer positioned over the conductive layer; another conductive layer positioned over the insulation layer that includes positioning electrodes; and another insulation layer positioned over the other conductive layer. The recording and positioning electrodes are electrically independent so as to independently receive a stimulus signal at each recording electrode and positioning electrode and independently detect a sensed signal at each recording electrode.

摘要: Techniques, systems and apparatus are disclosed for detecting impedance. In one aspect, a microelectrode sensing device includes a substrate and an array of microelectrode sensors formed on the substrate. Each sensor includes at least one conductive layer formed above the substrate and patterned to include a counter electrode and multiple sensing electrodes to detect an electrical signal in absence and presence of one or more target cells positioned on at least a portion of a surface of each sensing electrode. The sensing electrodes are spaced apart and arranged around the counter electrode to provide a spatially averaged value of the detected electrical signal.

摘要: Disclosed are a method and a computer program product for achieving fairness in utilization of a channel in a network. The network includes plurality of stations such that at least one station of the plurality of stations includes at least one radio. The at least one radio may fail to access the channel even when the channel is available for performing transmission. The method includes determining a number of idle slots occurred at the channel during a disruption period when the at least one radio is unavailable for transmission. The number of idle slots occurred during the disruption period may be accumulated as a credit. Based on the accumulated credit, an initial value of a backoff counter of the at least one station may be reset. The reset initial value of the backoff counter enables the at least one radio to utilize the accumulated idle slots for next transmission.

摘要: A system and method of reducing interference in a wireless communication network is disclosed. The method comprises adapting a transmission power of a signal of a wireless communication device when a clear channel assessment threshold equals a predetermined limit and a packet error rate exceeds a predetermined packet error rate threshold. In particular, the method includes increasing the transmission power of the signal when the clear channel assessment threshold equals a lower limit and the packet error rate exceeds an upper packet error rate threshold and decreasing the transmission power of the signal when the clear channel assessment threshold equals an upper limit and the packet error rate falls below a lower packet error rate threshold.

摘要: A community-based “green list” (CGL) message filter for mail service providers. The CGL filtering enables trusted messages to be delivered directly into a user's inbox folder and other messages to be delivered to other folders associated with the user. The CGL filtering indicates which messages are sent from those message addresses listed as friends in the user's personal address book. Also, the scope of CGL filtering includes more than those message addresses that the user interacts with directly (one degree of separation). For example, the CGL filtering also evaluates message addresses that are connected more remotely to the user through other nodes (users) in the online community that are located multiple degrees of separation away from the user.

摘要: A selective hydrogenation catalyst system, and a process for its preparation and its use. The catalyst system of the invention comprises a support material, a Pd-containing catalyst component and a Bi-containing cocatalyst component. The catalyst system of the invention is manufactured by impregnating the support material simultaneously or separately with Pd-containing solution, Bi-containing solution or/and one or more other cocatalyst solutions, and then drying and calcining. The activity and selectivity of the catalyst system of the invention, in selective hydrogenation of acetylenic and diolefmic compounds in hydrocarbon feeds, are significantly improved, while the green oil formation and carbon deposit on the catalyst reduced, and the service life increased and production costs decreased.
