Abstract: Techniques are described for compressing the PUCCH resources reserved for acknowledging downlink data transmissions when those resources are implicitly signaled by EPDCCHs that schedule the downlink transmissions in TDD mode. An acknowledgement resource offset field transmitted in the EPDCCH is configured to correspond to one or more values that compress the region in PUCCH resource index space that would otherwise be reserved for the subframes of a bundling window.

Abstract: Embodiments allow selection of a Discovery signal (DS) used to identify an eNB to a UE receiving the DS. The DS allows the UE to ascertain the existence and/or cell identifier of the eNB. DS comprise a plurality of other signals such as a Primary Synchronization Signal (PSS), a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS), a Cell Specific Reference Signal (CRS) and/or a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS). A DS occasion comprises a number of subframes where the selected signals that comprise the DS are transmitted. The signals selected for the DS, their characteristics and properties allow a UE to decode the cell identifier. The DS occasion occurs with a designated periodicity.

Abstract: Embodiments pertain to systems, methods, and component devices for dynamic non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) communications. A first example embodiment includes user equipment (UE) configured to receive a first downlink control indicator (DCI) from an evolved node B (eNB) and process the first subframe as a first higher power NOMA subframe in response to a first power ratio signal. The DCI includes the first power ratio signal for a first NOMA subframe. The UE may then receive, from the eNB, a second DCI, the second DCI comprising a second power ratio signal for a second subframe and process, by the UE, the second subframe as a second lower power NOMA subframe in response to the second power ratio signal. Additional embodiments may further use another DCI with a third power ratio signal to configure the UE to receive orthogonal multiple access (OMA) communications.

Abstract: This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to high efficiency signal field enhancement. A device may determine a wireless communication channel with a first device in accordance with a wireless communication standard. The device may generate a high efficiency preamble in accordance with a high efficiency communication standard, the high efficiency preamble including, at least in part, one or more legacy signal fields, one or more high efficiency signal fields, and one or more training fields. The device may determine one or more indication bits included in at least one of the one or more legacy fields. The device may determine a repetition pattern of at least one of the one or more high efficiency signal fields based at least in part, on the one or more indication bits. The device may cause to send the high efficiency preamble to the first device over the wireless communication channel.

Abstract: Techniques for resource block allocation in a multi-user MIMO High Efficiency WLAN system are provided. Specifically, teachings that when taken alone or together, provide a device or a group of devices with an improved resource allocation for the reduction of usable tone waste, are presented. The present disclosure includes a system that provides a user with a technique allocating data tones prior to the encapsulation unit or overhead tones on a resource block unit. Further, the total allocated bandwidth can be reduced prior resource allocation to overcome modulation and coding scheme downgrading caused by severe puncturing. Alternatively, only band edge basic resource blocks are reduced to account for overhead tones which largely reside on band edges.

Abstract: Uplink requests for bandwidth and/or other types of communication resources are provided. In some embodiments, a communication device can access a mapping between quality of service (QoS) metrics and communication resources. Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and computer readable media are disclosed. A STA to detect a HE SIG may be configured to detect the HE SIG based on at least one from the following group: a flipped reserved bit, a scrambled portion of the HE SIG, and a rotation of a signal constellation of the HE SIG different than legacy rotations of: a rotation of a first signal constellation and no rotation of a second signal constellation, and no rotation of the first signal constellation and a rotation of the second signal constellation. The STA may determine that a reserved bit is the flipped reserved bit based on a bit being reversed from a legacy standard. The STA may unscramble a received signal field, determine whether a CRC indicates the HE-SIG contains errors, and if the CRC indicates there are no errors, then determine that the signal field is the HE SIG.
