Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform methods for network assisted side-link resource configuration for unicast and/or multi-cast/groupcast communications in V2X networks. A UE may, after establishing an RRC connection with a base station, transmit, to the base station, V2X connection information. The V2X connection information may include a V2X identifier associated with the UE and a V2X identifier associated with a target UE. The UE may receive, from the base station, a side-link configuration for data transmission with the target UE. The side-link configuration may include a resource allocation defined in time and frequency (e.g., a transmit/receive pool). The UE may communicate with the target UE using the resource allocation included in the side-link configuration.

This may include performing any or all of radio link monitoring, radio resource management, or physical layer based link quality detection. The access stratum and the non-access stratum of each device may also communicate with each other regarding either or both of link quality or link status of the unicast sidelink wireless connection.

A sleep mode of the processor of the station is used until a time associated with the selected SR opportunity. Abstract: Methods and apparatus for minimizing scheduling collisions between networks. In one embodiment, the networks are substantially unsynchronized, and during hybrid network operation (e.g., LTE and CDMA 1X operation), a mobile device can place CDMA 1X voice calls while registered with the LTE network. However, since the LTE and CDMA 1X networks are not coordinated, the mobile device will experience scheduling collisions. In one variant, the LTE network accounts for predictable behaviors (such as CDMA 1X paging), and schedules low priority tasks during likely time interval conflicts. Consequently, even though the mobile device must tune away from the LTE network to check CDMA 1X pages, overall LTE network performance is minimally affected.
