Abstract:
The present invention relates to an energy conversion device using a liquid and, more specifically, to a method and a device for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy by applying an opposite phenomenon to an electrowetting phenomenon. The contact surface with liquid is being changed within a pair of electrodes, and the resulting change in the contact surface with liquid is being utilized for generating electrical energy. The device can be simplified and the manufacturing cost thereof is being reduced, furthermore it is effective in implementing an energy conversion device that is less faulty, by preventing channel blocking phenomenon and not requiring a lubricating layer or an electrode complicatedly patterned on a channel. Besides, it is advantageous in that a flexible device can be realized and a large area application is facilitated by simplifying the device structure.
Abstract:
A wearable device is disclosed. In one embodiment, the device includes: a sensor array having a plurality of sensors each detecting a physical change in epidermis of a corresponding body area and a body movement determination unit configured to determine movement of a body part based on sensing signals respectively received from the plurality of sensors.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electrolyte solution containing an iodide additive, and a sulfur dioxide-based secondary battery including the same. An electrolyte solution for a sulfur dioxide-based secondary battery according to the present invention includes sulfur dioxide (SO2), an alkali metal salt, and an iodide additive. An iodide additive is added to an electrolyte solution, and thus energy efficiency, a long-life characteristic, and stability of a negative electrode of a sulfur dioxide-based secondary battery can be improved.
