摘要: Deactivating one or more components of a surveillance system in response to authenticating an authorized person is disclosed and described. A method includes authenticating a user as an authorized person with permission to enter a property and, in response to authenticating the user, causing a compartment of a lockbox to open. The method includes providing a notification to a surveillance system indicating the user has been authenticated and accessed the compartment of the lockbox.

摘要: An example security system includes a plurality of access control devices that each control access to a respective secured area. A mobile device includes a processor, an accelerometer, a wireless transceiver, and memory storing a credential. The processor is configured to receive an indication from the accelerometer, detect a user gesture based on the indication from the accelerometer indicating a predefined movement of the mobile device, determine a pathway based on the gesture that includes multiple ones of the secured areas, and utilize the wireless transceiver to automatically transmit the credential to the respective access control devices associated with each secured area of the pathway. An example method for a security system is also disclosed.

摘要: Provided is an in-store dual-mode communication system in which shelves are disposed within a commercial space. A server is coupled to the Internet and/or a wide-area network and is configured to send and receive communications. Also provided are light-based messaging units that are located on and/or attached to such shelves, each: 1) having a light source, 2) receiving a communication from the server, and 3) in response to receipt of such communication, turning the light source on and off so as to broadcast a digital message that was included within such communication, as a binary-encoded digital signal corresponding to on/off states of the light source. A user device: (i) receives, via its light sensor, and then decodes the binary-encoded digital signal from a light-based messaging unit in order to obtain the digital message that corresponds to it; and also (ii) communicates with the server via its wireless interface.

摘要: A wearable device is used to authenticate a user into a user account at a user device of the user. In particular, the wearable device may include a sensor configured to detect whether the wearable device is worn by or is with the user. If so, the wearable device may send a signal to the user device and the user device may authenticate the user based on the signal received from the wearable device. For example, when the sensor detects that the wearable device is worn by the user, the wearable device may send a unique signal periodically, such as every five seconds or every 10 seconds. Based on whether the unique signal from the wearable device is received, the user device may authenticate the user.

摘要: A method for use with a computing device is provided. The method may include executing one or more programs of an intelligent digital assistant system at a processor and presenting a user interface to a user. At the processor, the method may include receiving natural language user input from the user, parsing the user input at an intent handler to determine an intent template with slots, populating the slots in the intent template with information from user input, and performing resolution on the intent template to partially resolve unresolved information. If a slot with missing slot information exists in the partially resolved intent template, a loop may be executed at the processor to fill the slots. The method may include, at the processor, determining that all required information is available and resolved and generating a rule based upon the intent template with all required information being available and resolved.

The mobile station is configured to provide the operating power to the lock without a power cord. A mobile station app is then configured to communicate with the lock via a short-range wireless communication connection, and open and close the lock. This can provide an electronic software-based key and lock system that is cheaper and easier to use than the physical key.

摘要: Exemplary embodiments described in this disclosure are generally directed to using a vehicle to provide building security. In one exemplary embodiment, a computer that is provided in a vehicle is communicatively coupled to various sensors included in an anti-theft security system of the vehicle. The computer automatically activates a building security procedure upon determining that the vehicle has entered, or is located inside, a geofence of a residence. The sensors are configured to detect a security event that may take place near the residence. For example, a motion sensor may be used to detect a burglar approaching the residence or a sound detector may be used to detect shattering of a glass window of the residence. Upon detecting such a security event, the anti-theft security system of the vehicle may transmit a security alert to an individual and/or a monitoring service.

The base has a people counter processor, memory, a power supply having one or more batteries, a passive sensor that detects whether a badge and/or a person has entered into a selected area and is within the sensing range and a first connector. The first connector is in circuit communication with the people counter processor. The communications module has a second connector for connecting to the first connector and wireless communications circuitry. The wireless communications module is configured to receive one or more signals from the people counter processor when the first connector is connected to the second connector.
