摘要: Provided is a graphene-based coating suspension comprising multiple graphene sheets, thin film coating of an anti-corrosive pigment or sacrificial metal deposited on graphene sheets, and a binder resin dissolved or dispersed in a liquid medium, wherein the multiple graphene sheets contain single-layer or few-layer graphene sheets selected from a pristine graphene material having essentially zero % of non-carbon elements, or a non-pristine graphene material having 0.001% to 47% by weight of non-carbon elements wherein the non-pristine graphene is selected from graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, graphene fluoride, graphene chloride, graphene bromide, graphene iodide, hydrogenated graphene, nitrogenated graphene, doped graphene, chemically functionalized graphene, or a combination thereof. The invention also provides a process for producing this coating suspension. Also provided is an object or structure coated at least in part with such a coating.

Methods of inhibiting corrosion on a surface or reducing the amount of anticorrosive composition within a system include adding an anti-corrosively effective amount of the composition to the system.

摘要: A method includes providing a workpiece with at least one surface having an anodized aluminum coating and a trivalent chromium sealant. The at least one surface of the workpiece is submerged in a post-treatment sealant solution for 0.5 to 20 minutes. The sealant composition consists essentially of a corrosion inhibitor formulation, a water soluble polymer, an organic complexing agent, and an oxidant. The corrosion inhibitor formulation is formulated from at least one anodic corrosion inhibitor compound, at least one cathodic corrosion inhibitor compound, or a combination thereof. A concentration of each of the corrosion inhibitor formulation, the water soluble polymer, the organic complexing agent, and the oxidant is each in a range of 1-50 mM.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a heat transfer fluid concentrate comprising: greater than or equal to 90 weight percent of a freezing point depressant; 16 to 80 ppm of magnesium ions; an azole compound; an inorganic phosphate; a carboxylate; and an acrylate based polymer, wherein the heat transfer fluid concentrate has a pH of 7-9.5 and the weight ratio of acrylate based polymer to magnesium ions is 1 to 25. The heat transfer fluid concentrate can be used to make a heat transfer fluid.

摘要: It has been found that the chemical reactivity of the metal surface of heat exchangers with coolants in presence of nitrites can be reduced by the addition of additives such as phosphonates or phosphinates. Aluminum, other Group III metals, as well as other metals commonly used in cooling systems, such as those of automobile engines, may thus be effectively protected.

摘要: The present invention provides a corrosion inhibition method which minimizes environmental adverse effects by using phosphate base anticorrosives without using zinc salt base anticorrosives and by reducing the concentration of the phosphate base anticorrosives, enables stable formation of an effective initial protective film, and does not affect water treatment after the formation of the initial protective film. In an initial protective film formation process of forming an initial protective film on a surface of an iron-based metallic member of a water system by adding anticorrosives to the water system, at least one selected from a group consisting of pyrophosphoric acids and pyrophosphates is employed as the anticorrosives and the initial protective film formation process is conducted such that the initial pH at the start of the initial protective film formation process is adjusted to be 5 or more and less than 7 so that the pH at the end of the initial protective film formation process becomes 7 or more.

摘要: A composition for providing acid resistance to copper surfaces in the production of multilayered printed circuit boards. The composition comprises an acid, an oxidizer, a five-membered heterocyclic compound and a thiophosphate or a phosphorous sulfide compound. In a preferred embodiment, the phosphorous compound is phosphorus pentasulfide. The composition is applied to a copper or copper alloy substrate and the copper substrate is thereafter bonded to a polymeric material.
