    摘要： A connection arrangement for connection of vertically and/or horizontally arranged containers. Each of the containers provides bosses or projections over a collinear pair of which is placed a separate plate. The plate provides matched polygonal apertures to receive the projections. Each of the projections provides an aperture there through to receive a retainer pin or bolt. The pin or bolt abuts the plate when engaged. The arrangement greatly expedites the separation of the containers when desired. The user needs only tap out the retainer pin and pull off the plate. This obviates the use of fasteners which can freeze, rust or become otherwise inoperative or cumbersome.

    摘要： This invention concerns an aluminum alloy container and lid for transportation and handling of perishable products. It combines the ability to provide improved temperature control for the product, and in addition is reusable, nestable and recyclable. This container is comprised of two components, the box and the lid. The box is made from three separate pieces. The bottom and two sides are formed from the same piece of material. The two ends are formed separately and each are welded to the bottom and two sides. The lid is made from two separate pieces, the lid plate and the interface bracket. All parts are made of light aluminum alloy.

    摘要： A process for manufacturing a can with a polygonal cross-section and a can with a polygonal cross-section, the process comprising the steps of milling the cylindrical lateral wall of a tubular body (10), providing said wall with a plurality of circumferential ribs (20) which are continuous and axially spaced from each other and defined by a certain degree of radial plastic deformation of the respective circumferential region of the cylindrical lateral wall of the tubular body (10); expanding the formed tubular body (10), deforming it, in order to define longitudinal edges (12) in whose region the circumferential ribs (20) are eliminated; and double-seaming a bottom and an upper wall of the can to the tubular body (10). This process defines a can having any polygonal cross-section and circumferential ribs (20) on the lateral wall thereof, between the longitudinal edges (12).

    摘要： A method for forming an aluminum cigarette package includes the step of cutting elliptical blanks from an aluminum sheet and shaping the blanks by progressive drawing operations into a lid and a body. The lid and body are joined by a flexible label that serves as a hinge that allows the lid to be pivoted relative to the body to open and close the pack. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, a drawn aluminum body is provided with a flat cap member having an aperture and a resealable closure. The invention includes a metal package made by the method of the invention.
