Abstract:
A method of operating a controller device of an electronic cutting machine. The method includes writing a controller device identifier to memory of the cartridge, writing a cartridge identifier to memory of the controller device, and permitting communication between the controller device and the cartridge.
Abstract:
A roll of pre-printed stamp label stock comprises a core, and a web of material having a longitudinally-extending axis and wound on the core along the axis. The web includes (i) a release liner having a front major side surface and a back major side surface opposite the front major side surface, (ii) a longitudinally-extending series of pre-printed stamp label panels disposed on the front major side surface along the axis and separated apart from each other by transversely-extending gaps between each pair of panels, and (iii) a longitudinally-extending first series of sense marks disposed on the back major side surface along the axis and located on the back major side surface opposite at least some of the transversely-extending gaps on the front major side surface to enable a cutter to transversely cut the web at a location on or adjacent to a sense mark of the first series of sense marks and thereby ensure the web is cut transversely only through a transversely-extending gap and not a stamp label panel on the front major side surface of the web.

A hand-held knockout punch driver for use with a punch and a die. The hand-held knockout punch driver having a body with a handle portion and a contact surface, a motor positioned within the body, a draw stud moveable with respect to the body, and a magnetic coupling member configured to releaseably couple the die to the contact surface of the body.
Abstract:
A printing device for producing finished product by one-pass sheet-feed may include a sheet-conveying unit, stamping-control units, a die-cutting unit, a waste edges removing unit, a blanking unit, a waste removing unit, and a conveying mechanism. The operation method of the device may include transferring a single sheet to the stamping-control units by the sheet-conveying unit, gripping and transferring the sheet to the stamping-control units by a gripper bar, to stamp or indent; transferring the sheet to the die-cutting unit to complete the die-cutting work; transferring the sheet to the waste edges removing unit to remove part of the waste edges; transferring the sheet to the blanking unit to collect all finished product; and transferring the last remaining waste edges to the waste removing unit.
Abstract:
A food-cutting device includes an upper metal base and a lower metal base respectively formed with recessed areas and shaped mold cavities with a predetermined cavity depth having raised rims outwardly projecting from the recessed areas and having inclined and closed peripheral patterns formed on inner surfaces. Cutters having a height greater than that of the raised rim are provided around the shaped mold cavities of the upper metal base. Moreover, press members respectively have one ends connected to each side of the upper metal base and the other ends connected to each side portion of a handle pivotally connected to a rear sick of the upper metal base. When the upper and lower metal bases are in a closed state to heat foodstuff, the foodstuff is pressed into a predetermined configuration, and a filling is encapsulated within the foodstuff followed by cutting the foodstuff by the cutters.
Abstract:
A pneumatic impact tool includes a housing, an accumulation chamber, and a piston. The housing defines a longitudinal passageway with a rear end and a front end and a passageway gas port. The accumulation chamber has a accumulation chamber gas port connectable to a gas supply and a inner gas port in fluid communication with the longitudinal passageway. The piston is inserted in the longitudinal passageway and slides between a rest position wherein the piston is juxtaposed to the rear end of the longitudinal passageway and an impact position wherein the piston is juxtaposed to the front end of the longitudinal passageway. The piston moves from the rest position to the impact position when gas is inserted in the longitudinal passageway through the passageway gas port and is propelled therebetween by pressurized gas contained in the accumulation chamber.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for manufacturing bundled printed sheets. The printed sheets can be used for labels, business cards, greeting cards, trading cards, tickets, game cards, bank cards, phone cards, identification cards, note pad sheets, paper currency, negotiable instruments, interlaced images, coupons, chits, ballots, maps, forms, time sheets, and like applications. The system generally comprises a substrate staging area, a print module, a cutter module, a collator module, conveyor module, and a packaging module. The system of the present invention can also comprise optional coating or treatment modules, web inspection equipment, waste removal equipment and other such features, and can be web- or sheet-fed.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method and apparatus for reducing a surface area profile required for a gasket part cut from a sheet of gasket material. The method generally includes receiving or determining at least one property of the gasket material, and receiving or determining a final shape of the gasket. The final shape includes a final side wall width, a final side wall thickness and a final topology. The final topology is associated with a first surface area profile. Based on the property(s) and the final shape, a contorted topology of the gasket is determined or calculated where the contorted topology is associated with a second surface area profile that is smaller than the first surface area profile. Once cut, the gasket with the contorted topology is selectively formable into the final topology.
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for cutting an IOL optic from an IOL blank whereby the resultant IOL optic has a square edge and the cutting is performed in a combined linear and rotational cutting movement. In another aspect, an IOL optic is provided which includes a square edge and helically shaped striations formed therein to help reduce glare.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of cutting a sheet-like piece into one or several smaller pieces by using camera means and a controllable cutting apparatus, the directions and values of the coordinate systems of which are calibrated to correspond to each other. In the method the following measures are taken: the piece to be cut is placed on a cutting surface located within the recording area of the camera means, the piece is photographed by the camera means and on the basis thereof the outlines of the piece are determined and the information on the outlines of the piece is input into the positioning system, where the cutting paths are established and input into the control system of the cutting device, which determines necessary parameters for the cutting and on the basis of these, controls the cutting of the piece into parts according to given instructions.
