    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for wireless communication are provided. A transmitting apparatus receives an indication to use multiple subframes to send uplink control information, codes the uplink control information over the multiple subframes based on the indication, and sends the coded uplink control information via the multiple subframes. Sending the coded uplink control information includes transmitting acknowledgement information (ACK) of a current downlink-centric self-contained subframe in an uplink acknowledgement portion of the current downlink-centric self-contained subframe, bundling ACK bits of multiple downlink-centric self-contained subframes and encoding the bundled ACK bits to generate parity acknowledgement bits associated with systematic acknowledgement bits, transmitting the systematic acknowledgement bits in each uplink acknowledgement portion of the multiple downlink-centric self-contained subframes, and transmitting the parity acknowledgement bits associated with the acknowledgement information bits of the multiple downlink-centric self-contained subframes in an uplink-centric self-contained subframe that is sequentially subsequent to the multiple downlink-centric self-contained subframes.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described A user equipment (UE) and a base station may support switching from one waveform to another on uplink channels. For example, a UE and a base station may utilize both frequency division multiplexing (SC-FDM) waveform and an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) waveforms based on channel conditions and other factors. In some examples, a UE may switch for some uplink channels, and use a single waveform for other channels. For example, switching waveforms for channels that utilize frequency domain code division multiplexing (CDM) channel may interrupt the orthogonality of multiplexed transmissions. A UE may transition from one waveform to another either autonomously or based on an explicit indication from a base station. If a UE switches autonomously, it may send an indication of the transition to the serving base station.

    Abstract: Signaling strategies for an advanced receiver with interference cancellation (IC) and suppression is discussed. Upon enablement of an advanced interference cancellation procedure according to the disclosure, transmitters within the enabled area transmit according to transmission restriction configurations that provide transmission limits based on either frequency, time, or scheduling. The restrictions on the transmitters reduces the complexity of processing by neighboring advanced receivers for cancellation of interference from the restricted transmitters. At the advanced receiver, transmission information, such as scheduling, reference signal (RS), resource block (RB) allocation, and the like, may either be determined through blind detection or received directly through signaling. The advanced receiver may use this transmission information associated with each interfering signal to detect, decode, and subtract the interfering signals from the received transmissions.

    Abstract: Wireless communication devices are adapted to facilitate multiple synchronization channels within a single carrier. In some examples, an apparatus for wireless communication may transmit a first synchronization channel at a first frequency in a carrier bandwidth, and at least one additional synchronization channel at a different respective frequency in the carrier bandwidth. In some examples, an apparatus for wireless communication may scan a carrier bandwidth for one of a plurality of synchronization channels conveyed at different respective frequencies in the carrier bandwidth, and discover a synchronization channel from among the plurality of synchronization channels. The apparatus may further receive information conveyed over the discovered synchronization channel and utilize the information to access the carrier. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also included.
