    摘要: A system and method employ an exclusive-OR gate having a first input configured to receive an RF carrier signal having an RF carrier, and a second input configured to receive a square wave signal having a square wave frequency, to output to a signal processing channel under test a binary phase shift keying (BPSK) signal comprising the RF carrier signal modulated by the square wave signal. A digital signal processor is configured to receive from the signal processing channel in-phase (I) and quadrature-phase (Q) data produced by the signal processing channel in response to the BPSK signal, and to process the I and Q data to determine an amplitude response and phase response of the signal processing channel as a function of frequency.

    摘要: A method executable by a computer processor is provided for determining stability of non-linear radio frequency (RF) circuit. The method includes identifying key devices of the RF circuit which open feedback loops when turned off; defining a generalized Bode's return ratio matrix with respect to the key devices over a range of small signal frequencies at a large signal operating point; determining stability margins for gain and phase of the RF circuit based on eigenvalues of the Bode's return ratio matrix; and determining overall stability of RF circuit using the Nyquist locus of a normalized determinant function based on the determinant of the generalized Bode's return ratio matrix.

    摘要: A method for evaluating link or component quality using synthetic forward error correction (FEC) includes generating a bit sequence. The method further includes transmitting the bit sequence over a link or through a component under test without adding FEC to the bit sequence. The method further includes receiving a bit sequence transmitted over the link or through the component. The method further includes determining locations of bit errors in the received bit sequence. The method further includes determining locations of synthetic FEC codeword and symbol boundaries in the received bit sequence for the synthetic FEC algorithm against which link or component quality is being evaluated. The method further includes identifying symbol and codeword errors for the synthetic FEC algorithm based on the locations of bit errors in received bit sequence. The method further includes outputting an indication of link or component quality based on the symbol and codeword errors identified for the synthetic FEC algorithm.

The method includes sampling the non-stationary signal, using an observation window having a length short enough to approximate a stationary signal, to provide an initial set of sampled data, buffering the initial set of sampled data to obtain multiple buffered sets of sampled data, filtering the initial set of sampled data and the buffered sets of sampled data, using corresponding filter responses, to obtain multiple filtered sets of sampled data, and performing a chirp-z-transform (CZT) of the filtered sets of sampled data to provide a set of discrete Fourier transforms (DFT) coefficients. A total signal spectrum of the non-stationary signal is reconstructed using the set of DFT coefficients.

    摘要: An oscilloscope includes a probe and an analog to digital converter. The probe detects a varying electronic signal and produces an analog signal. The analog to digital converter converts the analog signal to a digital signal. The oscilloscope detects vertical movement of the digital signal as a first digital trigger triggered at a trigger time. A segment of the digital signal is compared with predetermined parameters for the varying electronic signal received from a user to confirm whether a pattern of the varying electronic signal in the segment matches the predetermined parameters. When the pattern of the varying electronic signal in the segment matches the predetermined parameters, the process includes generating a display showing the varying electronic signal in the segment based on the trigger time.

    摘要: An active probe adapter adapts an active probe to a PXI instrumentation module. The active probe adapter includes a first module interface (MI) connector on a first side of the active probe adapter. The first MI connector is configured to connect to a corresponding interface connector of the PXI instrumentation module. The active probe adapter further includes a plurality of probe pads on a second side of the active probe adapter opposite to the first side. The plurality of probe pads is configured to interface with an active probe employed with the PXI instrumentation module. The active probe adapter may include a second MI connector on the active probe first side configured to connect to a PXI power module and provide power to the active probe.

The system includes an optical subsystem having first and second focal planes, where the integrated antenna array is positioned in a beam overlap region extending from the first focal plane of the optical subsystem. The system further includes a measurement array having multiple array elements positioned substantially on the second focal plane of the optical subsystem, the measurement array being configured to receive signals from the DUT, and/or to transmit substantially collimated beams to the DUT, via the optical subsystem. Far-field characteristics of the DUT are measured, as well as angular dependence of each of the far-field characteristics.
