Abstract:
A method for producing an image of a subject with a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system is provided. In particular, spatial encoding of signals received from the subject is performed by spatial encoding magnetic fields (SEMs) produced by driving a parallel array of local gradient coils with current weightings that define a mode of the coil array. A set of globally orthogonal modes are determined using a singular value decomposition and two modes that produce SEMs with desired magnetic field variance characteristics are selected for spatial encoding. The spatially encoding signals are received by a parallel array of radio frequency receiver coil elements in order to resolve ambiguities in spatial encoding caused by the SEMs. Images are subsequently reconstructed using, for example, an iterative time domain reconstruction method.
Abstract:
Sensing circuits for determining the state of memory cells include a sense amplifier. The sense amplifier includes an imbalanced cross-coupled latch (ICL), a first gate field effect transistor (FET) between a bit line (BL) and a first output node, and a second gate FET between a bit line inverse (BLB) and a second output node. The ICL includes a first pull down FET between the first output node and an enable FET connected to electrical ground, and a second pull down FET between the second output node and the enable FET. Channel widths of the second pull down FET and the second gate FET are greater than channel widths of the first pull down FET and the first gate FET to enhance the ability to detect a one (1) and a zero (0) stored in a memory cell connected to the sense amplifier.

Abstract:
A method and system for calibrating an initial driving signal for driving an optical pick-up head of an optical disk drive is provided. On one embodiment, said optical disk drive is utilized for reading or writing data on an optical disk, the optical disk includes a plurality of auto power control areas (APC areas) and a plurality of data areas, and the APC areas and the data areas are interleaved in between. In at least one of the APC areas that before the data areas for a normal data writing, an initial driving signal is used for the normal data writing to drive the optical pick-up head to emit laserbeam. A detected level of the laserbeam is then obtained. An update initial driving signal is then calibrated according to the detected level and a target level.

Abstract:
A fixture component for a liquid crystal display (LCD) module (LCD) is provided. The fixture component clamps and encloses the LCD module with a front cover and an enclosing member to clamp and wrap the LCD module, so as to form an LCD assembly. A visible portion is formed on a front side surface of the front cover in a protrusive manner, corresponding to a display side of the LCD module. The visible portion enhances the antistatic property of the LCD module. Meanwhile, the visible portion fits an opening of a case, so that the LCD assembly is mounted and fixed in the case more easily.
Abstract:
An illumination button applied to an illumination switch assembly is provided. The illumination button includes a light guide body and a button cap. The light guide body is disposed in the button cap to press a switch element with a pressing bump and to receive light from a light source with a light receiving structure. The light received by the light receiving structure is guided by the light guide body to leave a top surface of the button cap through a light exiting structure. Two connecting members are disposed on an edge the button cap, wherein the two connecting members provided to be clamped by clamping members disposed on an inner surface of a housing, so as to hold the button cap in a button hole of the housing. Therefore, the button cap is able to be installed to the housing quickly with out using a tool.
