    摘要: A detection apparatus determines whether a recording layer of an optical disc is at a focal point of an objective lens. The detection apparatus includes an objective lens, a beam splitter, a reflector, a detector, and a servo controller. The reflector and the detector are disposed opposite to each other on two sides of an optical axis of the objective lens, and a normal line of the reflector is perpendicular to the optical axis. The beam splitter is disposed between the reflector and the detector and is located on the optical axis. The servo controller is connected to the detector.

    摘要: A digital servo method for an optical disk drive includes receiving low-pass filtered and gain-adjusted versions of photodetector output signals resulting from an illumination of an optical disk. Versions of the photodetector signals are digitized to produce digital signals. A focus control signal is determined through at least one servo algorithm in a digital signal processor based on a focus error determined from the digital signals. Alternatively, a tracking control signal is determined through at least one servo algorithm in the digital signal processor based on a tracking error determined from the digital signals. An optical disk drive includes an analog-to-digital converter configured to convert low-pass filtered and gain-adjusted versions of photodetector output signals into at least one digital signal and the digital signal processor.

    摘要: An optical disk information device includes a laser light source that emits a luminous flux with a wavelength λ, an objective lens having a numerical aperture NA, a splitting element, a photodetector, a central portion amplifier, at least two end portion amplifiers, an adder, a control signal processing section having a tracking switcher that inverts a polarity of a tracking control signal depending on whether a track scanned by a condensing spot corresponds to a land portion or a groove portion, and a gain controller that, when the polarity of the tracking control signal is inverted, switches gains of the central portion amplifier and the end portion amplifiers and sets the gain of the central portion amplifier substantially lower than the gain of at least one of the end portion amplifiers so as to reduce crosstalk from adjacent tracks in the optical disk.

    摘要: The optical disc device has a circuit which forms a focus error signal for focus servo control based on reflection light from an optical disc exposed to laser light. Also, the device has a data processing unit which can control by feedback a position to which an objective lens is moved by a focusing actuator based on a focus error signal. In label printing, the data processing unit controls, by feedforward, a position to which the objective lens is moved by the focusing actuator based on control data for label printing. The operation resolution of the focusing actuator in feedforward control is made higher than that in feedback control. Thus, an intended position control accuracy is achieved in feedforward control. For instance, in feedforward control, the gain of the driver circuit for the focusing actuator is switched to a smaller one in comparison to that in feedback control.

    摘要: When using an optical disc medium that includes pit trains having their widths narrower than a diffraction limit, it is difficult to detect a tracking error signal and take a tracking-servo control while increasing pit density in a direction orthogonal to a pit-train extension direction. Information pit trains are arranged spirally or concentrically and formed in a structure in which their depths are changed periodically at a pitch radially along the optical disc medium, so that the tracking error signal can be obtained by push-pull detection of diffraction light from the structure.
