Disclosed is a novel dye for use in a photoelectronic device, wherein the photoelectronic device is comprised of a photoanode comprising the dye. According to the novel dye, the dye is derived through the introduction of a group which narrows the dihedral angle of the dye ligand as well as through the introduction of conjugated groups. Since the dye has improved light sensitivity and absorption properties, it can be used to fabricate a photoelectronic device with high power conversion efficiency.

The electrolytic solution comprises a lithium salt, an organic solvent comprising a first solvent having a high dielectric constant and a second solvent having a low boiling point, and a surfactant having a hydrophilic segment with two ends, each end being connected to a hydrophobic segment. The organic electrolytic solution effectively prevents the electrolytic solution from contacting the anode of the lithium battery to thereby suppress a side reaction on the surface of the anode. This enhances charge/discharge efficiency, lifespan and reliability of the battery.

A mixed dispersant which can improve the efficiency of dispersing metal powder by effectively adsorbing on the surface of the metal powder and preventing aggregation thereof, and a paste composition and a dispersion method using the same are provided. A multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) is also provided. The mixed dispersant includes a basic dispersant and an acidic dispersant in accordance with the acidity and basicity of nickel metal powder and thus can achieve an optimal dispersion efficiency. An improvement in the dispersion efficiency as such can consequently suppress aggregation of the nickel metal powder during the preparation of a conductive paste composition containing a nickel metal powder, and therefore a larger amount of the nickel metal powder can be used in the paste composition. The increased amount of nickel metal powder allows producing an internal nickel electrode having improved electric properties and mechanical properties during the production of MLCCs.

Provided is a photo-luminescence (PL) LCD including: electrodes that are disposed on bottom and top surfaces of front and rear substrate and create an electric field in liquid crystals (LCs); a nano-dot (ND) PL layer that is disposed on the bottom surface of the front substrate and emits light when irradiated with ultraviolet (UV) light, and a UV backlight unit that is located behind the rear substrate and supplying UV light to the ND PL layer. The UV backlight unit is excited by blue UV light having a wavelength range of 360 to 460 nm to emit light. The PD LCD having the above-mentioned structure suppresses absorption of UV light by LC and degradation of the LC while providing high light efficiency.

The image quality enhancing apparatus includes an ROI (region of interest) classifying unit classifying ROIs according to distances from the image capturing device of a captured input image by using a cluster-based image segmentation algorithm, a color channel registering unit determining motion vectors of color channels corresponding to the respective ROIs by analyzing a high frequency component of image data included in the ROIs, and moving the color channels based on the determined motion vectors to obtain a registered image of the respective ROIs, and an image fusing unit fusing the registered images of the respective ROIs to obtain a fused image.
