摘要: Managing system clocks of virtual machines. A host system clock value of a host system clock of a host system is obtained, and a virtual machine system clock value of a system clock of a virtual machine managed by the host system is determined. The determining of the virtual machine system clock value includes using the host system clock value and a system clock adjustment value. The system clock of the virtual machine is adjusted using the virtual machine system clock value.

摘要: Orchestrated disaster recovery is provided in which replication volumes are automatically configured as part of a failover procedure. An example method includes obtaining replication volume configuration information identifying configuration of a replication volume in a data replication relationship in which data is replicated from a replication source to a replication target. The replication volume is configured for the replication source and replication volume remains at least partially non-configured for the replication target during data replication from the replication source to the replication target. Based on an indication of failover, the obtained configuration information is used in automatically configuring the replication volume for the replication target in preparation for use by application(s) of the replication target site. Automatically configuring includes configuring, for the replication volume, a volume group and a mount point.

摘要: Data collection is facilitated by a multi-threaded processor. One thread of the processor obtains data placed in a buffer by another thread of the processor. The thread placing the data in the buffer is an execution thread executing a customer application and the one thread obtaining the data from the buffer is an assist thread. The assist thread stores the data obtained from the buffer in a selected location, such as a cache, main memory, a measurement control block, a persistent storage device or a network.

摘要: Collaborative scene sharing for overcoming visual obstructions is provided. Video feeds of a scene are obtained from multiple devices viewing the scene from different angle. An obstruction obstructs portion(s) of the scene from view by a device. An aggregation grid that partitions views of the scene into cells is established and used in providing an aggregated view of the scene to the device. This includes identifying cell(s) of the aggregation grid for which the view by the device is obstructed by the obstruction, and providing to the device video portion(s) obtained from video feed(s) from the multiple devices. The video portion(s) correspond to the cell(s) for which the view by the device is obstructed, and the video feeds from which the video portions are obtained are from other device(s), of the multiple devices, for which the view for the cell(s) is unobstructed.

摘要: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The methods include, for instance: monitoring one or more message of the conversation between multiple users for an entity reference; detecting the entity reference in a message in the conversation. An entity reference list stores previously established alternate name referring to a user in the conversation. By analyzing the message and following messages in the conversation for relevance of and sentiment to the entity reference, the entity reference is evaluated and if acceptable, the entity reference list is updated with the entity reference as a new alternate name to identify the user in subsequent messages.

摘要: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The method computer program products, and systems can include, for instance: examining information of first through Nth storage volumes and based on the examining providing for each storage volume of the first through Nth storage volumes a predicted storage space savings value, the predicted storage space savings value indicating a predicted terabyte volume of storage space savings producible by performance of data compression of data stored on the storage volume; predicting a per terabyte compression cost savings associated with compressing one or more storage volume of the first through Nth storage volumes, and providing a ranking of storage volumes of the first through Nth storage volumes based on the examining and the predicting; and scheduling a compression of storage volumes of the first through Nth storage volumes based on the ranking of storage volumes of the first through Nth storage volumes.

摘要: Updating a document relating to updates of a graphical user interface (GUI) is provided. An example method includes identifying one or more images in a screenshot of an existing graphical user interface (GUI) and in a screenshot of a new GUI modified from the existing GUI; extracting image text associated with one or more component images from the existing GUI and the new GUI; identifying, in the new GUI, text and image differences between the component images from the existing GUI and the new GUI; identifying, in a document, document text associated with the text and image differences; and modifying the associated document text according to the identified text and image differences.

摘要: Machine instructions, referred to herein as a long Convert from Zoned instruction (CDZT) and extended Convert from Zoned instruction (CXZT), are provided that read EBCDIC or ASCII data from memory, convert it to the appropriate decimal floating point format, and write it to a target floating point register or floating point register pair. Further, machine instructions, referred to herein as a long Convert to Zoned instruction (CZDT) and extended Convert to Zoned instruction (CZXT), are provided that convert a decimal floating point (DFP) operand in a source floating point register or floating point register pair to EBCDIC or ASCII data and store it to a target memory location.

摘要: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The methods include, for instance: collecting user data from the user, analyzing a context of an event including one or more actions from the user data; identifying subsequent actions of the event based on the context of the event, creating one or more context-personality-cognitive state (CPC) mapping, building up a knowledgebase by machine learning, and predicting a cognitive state of the user based on the knowledgebase. The method generates an alarm for a subsequent action based on the predicted first cognitive state of the user and notifying the generated alarm to the user.
