Abstract: A method that includes receiving, from one or more motion sensors in a device, data describing a signature arc in three-dimensional space, the signature arc having been generated by gesturing using the device; identifying, from the data describing the gestured signature arc, a plurality of points that correspond to the gestured signature arc in three-dimensional space; generating a curve along the identified plurality of points corresponding to the gestured signature arc; generating a two-dimensional representation of the gestured signature arc; and displaying, on a display screen, the generated two-dimensional representation of the gestured signature arc.

Abstract: A system for determining a health status of a tank is provided. The system includes a temperature sensor, a pressure sensor, a sensor coupled to a hydraulic actuator, a breather valve, and a controller. The controller is configured to receive a signal indicative of a temperature and a volume of a fluid within the tank from the temperature sensor and the sensor coupled to the hydraulic actuator respectively. The controller is configured to determine an estimated pressure of the fluid within the tank based on the received signals and a breather performance curve. The controller is configured to receive a signal indicative of a pressure of the fluid within the tank and compare it with the estimated pressure. The controller is also configured to determine the health status of the tank and to actuate one or more of an operator console display unit and the hydraulic actuator.

Abstract: A mobile computing device includes a first video camera on a first side of the mobile computing device producing a first camera video stream. A second video camera is on a second side of the mobile computing device producing a second camera video stream. A video processor is coupled to the first video camera and the second video camera to receive the first camera video stream and the second camera video stream, respectively. The video processor is coupled to merge the first camera video stream and the second camera video stream to generate a merged video stream. The video processor includes a network interface coupled to upload the merged video stream to a server in real-time using an Internet wireless network. The server broadcasts the merged video stream to a plurality of receivers in real-time.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an aerospace system is provided. The aerospace system comprises at least one display unit configured to display flight data and a memory configured to store one or more flight plan associations. Each flight plan association is an association between a data link message and a respective waypoint in a flight plan. The aerospace system also comprises a processing unit configured to determine when each respective waypoint in the flight plan is reached based on a comparison of current location data to the flight plan. When each respective waypoint is reached, the processing unit is configured to identify any data link messages associated with the respective waypoint based on the flight plan associations and to direct the at least one display unit to display a respective notification for each identified data link message associated with the respective waypoint.

Abstract: A mobile device has a display, one or more processors, and first memory storing instructions for execution by the one or more processors. The mobile device is configured to dock in a headset to form a head-mounted display. A near-field-communication (NFC) channel is established with a tag in the headset, the tag including second memory that stores one or more configuration parameters for the headset. The one or more configuration parameters are received from the tag via the NFC channel. Using the one or more configuration parameters for the headset, the mobile device renders virtual-reality images and displays the rendered virtual-reality images.

Abstract: A guide is configured in an authoring program to aid the user in editing objects on a document. The guide can be a horizontally or vertically oriented guide line and can be created from a single ruler, either a vertical or horizontal ruler displayed on the workspace. To create a horizontal guide, the user can position the cursor on a horizontal ruler. The user can click-and-hold and drag the cursor to create and position a horizontal guide over the workspace. To create a vertical guide, the user can position the cursor in the horizontal ruler and click and release. The user can create both vertical and horizontal guides using the vertical ruler in a corresponding manner, where clicking on the vertical ruler creates a horizontal guide, and click-and-hold and dragging creates a vertical guide. Guides can be individually configured or altered in their visual characteristics.

The method includes responsive to an input multimedia content item provided to a user device, checking if the input multimedia content item matches at least one concept of a plurality of concepts cached in the user device; retrieving characteristics set for a user of the user device; performing a search, using the at least one matching concept, for multimedia content items similar to the input multimedia content item; determining which of the search results are of interest to the user based on the characteristics set for the user; and saving results that are of interest to the user in the user device, wherein the saved results include multimedia content items.
