摘要: A method of manufacturing a mineral fibre thermal insulation product comprises the sequential steps of:
Forming mineral fibres from a molten mineral mixture;
Spraying a substantially formaldehyde free binder solution on to the mineral fibres, the binder solution comprising: a reducing sugar, an acid precursor derivable from an inorganic salt and a source of nitrogen;
Collecting the mineral fibres to which the binder solution has been applied to form a batt of mineral fibres; and
Curing the batt comprising the mineral fibres and the binder which is in contact with the mineral fibres by passing the batt through a curing oven so as to provide a batt of mineral fibres held together by a substantially water insoluble cured binder.-

摘要: Disclosed herein is a glass composition that includes, based on the total weight of the composition, 52 wt % to 58 wt % of SiO2, 12 wt % to 16 wt % of Al2O3, 16 wt % to 26 wt % of B2O3, greater than 0 wt % and not greater than 2 wt % of MgO, 1 wt % to 6 wt % of CaO, greater than 1 wt % and lower than 5 wt % of TiO2, greater than 0 wt % and not greater than 0.6 wt % of Na2O, 0 wt % to 0.5 wt % of K2O, 0 wt % to 1 wt % of F2, 1 wt % to 5 wt % of ZnO, greater than 0 wt % and not greater than 1 wt % of Fe2O3; and 0.1 wt % to 0.6 wt % of SO3. Also disclosed herein is a glass fiber including the glass composition.

摘要: An inorganic material including SiO2, Al2O3, CaO, and Fe2O3 as components, in which the mass percentages of the components in terms of oxide in the inorganic material are set as follows: i) the total content of SiO2 and Al2O3 is from 40% by mass to 70% by mass; ii) the ratio Al2O3/(SiO2+Al2O3) (mass ratio) is in the range of 0.15 to 0.40; iii) the content of Fe2O3 is from 16% by mass to 25% by mass; and iv) the content of CaO is from 5% by mass to 30% by mass, can be produced as an inorganic material having excellent melt spinnability and excellent radiation resistance.
