Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes a reading unit, an acquiring unit, a color information extracting unit, a storage unit, an image extracting unit, and an image generating unit. The reading unit reads an image on a sheet. The acquiring unit acquires image data from the image read by the reading unit. The color information extracting unit extracts color information from the image data. The storage unit stores specific color information. The image extracting unit extracts second image data surrounded by a line with the specific color information in first image data that the acquiring unit acquires from an image on a first sheet which is read by the reading unit. The image generating unit generates third image data based on the second image data.
Abstract:
The electronic camera has an imaging device that images a subject with subject reflectance R (%) with a dynamic range wider than that at displaying or printing to acquire image data and a recording device that converts the image data acquired by the imaging device with a predetermined function and records the converted image data and the information on the function as digital values (digit). Therefore, a printed image with an automatically or manually corrected density can be obtained at the displaying or the printing.
Abstract:
A method of scanning a set of documents in a container such as a file folder or storage box where the container contains a unique label containing identification associated with the documents in the container. The label comprises both alphanumeric characters and color information where each character is associated with a particular color. By scanning the container and analyzing the image of the container the unique identification can be retrieved with increased reliability by using both the color and alphanumeric information.
Abstract:
The present invention is related to providing, in association with an image, information related to the image capture device used to capture the image. In one embodiment, information related to a first static camera characteristic and camera setting information related to a first captured digitized image is embedded in the first captured digitized image using a watermark. The watermarked information may be used to identify the source or owner of the picture, and/or to aid in the more accurate reproduction of the image.

Abstract:
To provide a sign authentication system and method for authenticating the originality of an object having a sign such as a seal or a signature or a pattern which can be deemed as a sign, making counterfeit very difficult even if the mechanism of authentication is revealed, obviating the need for being additionally provided with a special device such as an IC chip used for authenticating the originality. A sign authentication system provides reading a sign such as a personal seal impression as color information for each mesh division, extracting feature points from the color information and storing them, and creating a code for authentication from the feature points. The sign is made with an ink containing color material particles smaller than the mesh division. The feature points on the basis of variation of color information caused are extracted when the mesh division is shifted.
Abstract:
An image processor which provides a color space conversion characteristic suitable for an image includes a transfer unit which transfers digital color image data representing a desired image input by an image input unit and having a color space depending on the image input unit, and extraction unit which extracts a color space conversion characteristic used to convert the color space depending on the image input unit into another color space. The transfer unit transfers the digital color image data having the color space depending on the image input unit and the color space conversion characteristic.
Abstract:
An image forensics system estimates a camera response function (CRF) associated with a digital image, and compares the estimated CRF to a set of rules and compares the estimated CRF to a known CRF. The known CRF is associated with a make and a model of an image sensing device. The system applies a fusion analysis to results obtained from comparing the estimated CRF to a set of rules and from comparing the estimated CRF to the known CRF, and assesses the integrity of the digital image as a function of the fusion analysis.
