    摘要: A combination check valve and pressure relief valve is provided for use in regulating the flow of fluid between a first fluid side and a second fluid side. The combination check valve and pressure relief valve includes a valve plug, a valve guide moveably positioned in relation to the valve plug, a valve stem engaged to the valve guide, a check compression spring attached to the valve stem and positioned between the valve guide and the valve plug, a valve seat carried by the valve stem, and a relief compression spring positioned between the valve seat and the valve guide. The valve guide is adapted to move the valve stem relative to the valve seat against the force of the relief compression spring to allow fluid to pass from the first fluid side to the second fluid side through a fluid flow passage formed between the valve stem and the valve seat. Furthermore, the valve seat, valve stem, and valve guide are adapted to move relative to the valve plug against the force of the check compression spring to remove the valve seat from an opening formed between the second fluid side and the first fluid side to permit fluid to pass through the opening.

    摘要: A control system for a variable displacement pump driven by a drive source for driving a vehicle is provided. The variable displacement pump pressurizes hydraulic oil, and is switchable between a full capacity operation in which a discharge flow rate is maximized and a partial capacity operation in which the discharge flow rate is lower than that in the full capacity operation. It is determined whether an operation for starting the drive source has been performed. A rotational speed of the drive source and a temperature of the hydraulic oil are detected. When the rotational speed of the drive source is equal to or higher than a predetermined rotational speed and the hydraulic oil temperature is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature, immediately after the operation for starting the drive source is performed, the partial capacity operation of the variable displacement pump is performed. This control suppresses generation of untoward noises caused by the operation of the variable displacement pump when starting to drive the vehicle.

    摘要: A gas-based transmission which has a self-regulating mechanical advantage that is continuously--and, essentially, infinitely variable. A high-pressure reservoir receives either exhaust gas from an engine or air from a compressor that is run by the drive shaft from an engine. A pressure regulator on the output of the high-pressure reservoir controls the engine resistance and decouples the engine from the the drive forces. The pressure can be set at a given level which will approximate the power curve for the engine or can be controlled by a computer so that the engine will produce the power desired by the operator at the lowest engine speed capable of producing such power, i.e., the engine will operate precisely on its power curve. The gas or air passes from the pressure regulator to a variable-pressure reservoir. The variable-pressure reservoir is connected to a gas-operated drive motor so that when the pressure within the variable-pressure reservoir has reached the precise level necessary for the gas-operated drive motor to operate against the existing drive force, the gas or air will begin leaving the variable-pressure reservoir and start rotating the drive shaft of the gas-operated drive motor. The gas or air can be directed through the gas-operated drive motor in a reverse direction to cause the drive shaft to turn in a reverse direction. Braking is accomplished by drawing air into the output of the gas-operated drive motor and conducting it to the high-pressure reservoir. Energy storage is also available.
