    摘要: In a damping valve for pressure medium-actuated operating circuits, a spring element is installed between housing, cover and counter-contour. In the opening direction, the spring element is pressed against the counter-contour by the pressure medium flowing through, so that a flow passage cross-section allowing almost unimpeded passage of the pressure medium is obtained. In the opposite direction, the throttling direction, the spring element rests on the cover and blocks the flow of the pressure medium until a well-defined pressure builds up, which lifts the inner side of the spring element from the counter-contour and thus opens a reduced flow passage cross-section.

    摘要: A pressure relief device for a sealed system is provided. The device includes a negative pressure support that is engageable with the system. A seal is disposed between the support and the system such that a negative pressure differential created in the system acts on the seal to move the seal away from the negative pressure support. A wire connects the seal to the support. The wire is configured to break, thereby releasing the seal, when the seal is exposed to a negative pressure differential having a predetermined level. The device may also include a positive pressure support disposed between the seal and the negative pressure support. The positive pressure support prevents the seal from releasing until the system experiences a positive pressure differential of a predetermined level. The device may also include a sensor that indicates when the seal has released.

    摘要: A mixing adaptor enables a material to be transferred from a first delivery means to a second delivery means and enables another material to be transferred from the second delivery means to the first delivery means. The adaptor has (i) a hollow main body having a first end, a second end, an interior surface and an exterior surface; and (ii) a septum positioned within the interior surface of the main body. A first channel is defined by a first portion of the interior surface of the main body and by a first side of the septum. The first channel has a primary opening at the first end of the main body and a secondary opening at the second end of the main body. A second channel is defined by a second portion of the interior surface of the main body and by a second side of the septum. The second channel has a primary opening at the second end of the main body and a secondary opening at the first end of the main body. First and second substantially flexible members extend from opposing sides of the septum for selectively closing the secondary openings of the first and second channels. In one embodiment, the septum is movable between a first position and a second position.

A valve spring is disposed at the other side of the membrane for biasing the membrane into engagement with the valve seat. One of the concentric chambers is in communication with the inlet passage and the other with the outlet passage, whereby the membrane is held in an open valve position as long as the pressure in the inlet and outlet passages is greater than a certain value but the membrane closes the valve to maintain the predetermined pressure in the outlet passage when the pressure falls below that certain value. The membrane is manufactured in the shape, which it assumes in its valve opening position.

    摘要: A valve, system, and method for controlling evaporative emissions of a volatile fuel. The system includes a fuel vapor collection canister, an isolation valve, and a fuel tank. The isolation valve includes a housing defining a chamber, a diaphragm movable with respect to the housing between a first configuration and a second configuration, and a coil spring biasing the diaphragm toward the first configuration. The housing includes an interior partition that defines an aperture and separates the housing into first and second sections, a first port that is in fuel vapor communication with the fuel vapor collection canister, and a second port. In the first configuration, the diaphragm occludes the aperture, divides the chamber into three sub-chambers, and substantially prevents fuel vapor flow between the first and second ports. In the second configuration, the diaphragm divides the chamber into two sub-chambers and permits generally unrestricted fuel vapor flow between the first and second ports. The coil spring includes a first end that engages the housing and a second end that engages the diaphragm. The fuel tank is in fuel vapor communication with the second port of the isolation valve. The fuel tank isolation valve can also include a check valve that equalizes pressure between the first and second ports to relieve excess vacuum in the fuel tank.
