    摘要: A coolant control valve apparatus 10 includes a main valve 11 which adjusts a flow rate of a coolant in a main channel 4 to control the flow rate of the coolant in the main channel 4. Further, the coolant control valve apparatus 10 includes a detour channel 67 provided being diverged from the main channel 4 so as to detour the main valve 11. The coolant control valve apparatus 10 includes a valve main body 41 which opens and closes the detour channel 67 and a temperature detection medium 42 which can open and close the valve main body 41 according to a temperature of the coolant. The temperature detection medium 42 is disposed in the diverging part between the detour channel 67 and the bypass channel 5.

It comprises arrangements made at least in part from a single-acting memory alloy adapted to contribute to the operation of the thermostat only when their temperature is less than the transformation temperature of the alloy and to condition the flow of the fluid in the thermostat in the same direction as if the wax capsule had operated normally if the transformation temperature of the memory metal is exceeded.

    摘要: An engine cooling module 10 includes a shroud 12 having at least one fan opening 15 and at least one additional opening 18 in the wall generally adjacent to the fan opening to permit air to pass though the shroud 12. A fan 14 is coupled to the shroud to permit air moved by the fan to pass through the shroud 12. An electric motor drives the fan. Closure structure 20 is movable to prevent and permit air flow through the additional opening 18. An actuator 28 moves the closure structure 20 from a closed position, covering the additional opening 18, to an opened position, uncovering the additional opening 18. A sensor 34 detects ram air at the shroud 12. A controller 32 receives a signal from the sensor 34 indicating the initial presence of ram air and, in response thereto, sends a signal to the actuator 28 to move the closure structure 20 to the opened position.
