摘要:
A wall-like sound barrier for placement along the shoulders of a highway is formed of a plurality of arcuate tire sections arranged in stacked rows to define a vertically-extending wall of such tire sections. The concave, partly open face of each tire section is oriented in confronting opposition to a source of sound or noise to be damped and reflected, such as a roadway. Each tire section may be inclined so as to encourage runoff of rainwater and the like that could otherwise collect in the interior of the tire section. The inclination may be defined by orienting each tire section so that its convex exterior is elevated above its concave interior, and/or by orienting each tire section so that one of its ends is elevated above the other of its ends. In addition, the tire sections foxing each row may be arranged so that the tire sections are vertically aligned from one row to the next to form columns of tire sections in the resulting wall, or may be staggered from row-to-row so that each tire section lies immediately above portions of two tire sections of the row of tire sections upon which it is stacked.

An acoustical panel system, including panels formed out of relatively thin sheet material, that can be utilized to construct walls, fences, and other structures. A frame structure has one or more openings to receive the acoustical panels. Each acoustical panel has at least one raised body portion, all or part of which is corrugated to disburse sound and provide structural integrity, and an edge portion surrounding the body portion. A pair of acoustical panels can be adjoined back-to-back to form a hollow block to provide both enhanced sound and heat insulating properties. A hollow bezel extends around the periphery of the body portion of the panel and is spaced from the body portion of the panel and has one or more openings into which sounds are received and trapped within the bezel.

This invention relates to both concrete wall having a series of slanted deflection surfaces to spread the force of impacting vehicles, to buttress against earth forces, and to abate noises and to a method of constructing such a wall. The wall can be economically constructed from precast concrete elements which are adapted to be easily and rapidly stacked and joined in series to save on the cost of labor and materials. The wall is comprised of a series of panels which are stable and self-supporting when placed on a prepared foundation due to the Z-shape of the panels. Stable connection between the panels is provided by cast-in-place concrete, structural support columns. The legs of the Z-shaped panels form a stay-in-place form for the cast-in-place concrete when two Z-shaped panels are placed end to end. The cast-in-place concrete hardens and becomes integral structural support columns for the wall. Expansion joints between the wall and the foundation allow the wall to move without damaging the structural support columns.

The invention relates to anti-noise installation for a guided transport track having a U-shaped cross section, the two branches of which form the lateral walls (15, 16) of the track and the central zone of which, connecting the two branches, forms at least one runway (18) for a guided transport vehicle (50), characterised in that said installation comprises a plurality of acoustic panels (30, 31, 34, 35, 38, 39) arranged relative to one another so as to form at least one chamber (20) for confining the noise resulting from the passage of a vehicle (50) over at least one runway (18), which chamber can be provided around said noise source while extending as far as a free end of at least one branch of the U, each panel (30, 31, 34, 35, 38, 39) forming at least one portion of a partition of a noise-confinement chamber (20).

This invention relates to a precast concrete wall consisting of a plurality of precast concrete, retaining wall segments used as a retaining wall, used to buttress against earth forces, used to abate noises, and a method of constructing such a wall. The wall can be economically constructed from the precast wall segments which are adapted to be easily and rapidly stacked and joined in series to save on the cost of labor and materials. Each of the wall segments is capable of being varied in height, width or length, but having a generally similar cross-section. The wall segments also have members which form a stay-in-place form when two wall segments are placed end to end. Cast-in-place concrete is poured into the form and, upon hardening, becomes an integral structural support column for the wall.

A noise barrier or other type wall or building assembly includes a plurality of spans each extending between spaced apart posts and having top and bottom girts affixed to the posts and in turn supporting a plurality or series of vertically disposed panels. Unique mating interlock elements integrally formed along both lateral edges of the wall or building exterior panels allow the sequential interconnection of all panels in a series by means of a rotating displacement of the individual panels to yield multilateral interlocking of the panels. The panel faces are configured to provide shadow texture, while masking of the posts and top girts in a free-standing type wall is obtained by a split cover assembly and split cap trim, respectively.

A sound-absorbing structure comprising a plurality of linear and parallel grooves in the surface of the structure and ribs between the grooves. The structure is employed to damp, in a semi-space which is delimited by a substantially plane surface, e.g. a ground surface, a sound field propagating essentially in parallel with said surface. The sound field originates in for instance traffic on a motorway or an airport. The grooves of the structure are arranged in such manner, that a sound attenuation is obtained, in terms of the direction of propagation of the sound field, behind the structure by means of an acoustic coupling between adjoining grooves at the sound frequencies to be damped. The surface of the sound-absorbing structure is situated substantially in the surface delimiting the above mentioned semi-space. The cross-section of the structure has an outline similar to a square wave or a sine curve. The structure may include two or more groove systems each having the grooves spaced differently or each having varying groove-depths or both measures in combination, thus making it possible to damp a broader sound frequency range.

A sound damping curtain wall is disclosed having a plurality of generally parallel tubular damping elements arranged in side by side fashion. Each damping element is fabricated from thin flexible material and may include longitudinally extending corrugations. Each end of each damping element is provided with a recess having a cross-section that conforms to the cross-section of generally horizontally extending beams which are received therein. The beams are attached to generally vertical posts set in a suitable foundation. Each vertical post may be arranged inside a corresponding damping element. With the damping elements disposed between the generally horizontal beams and the vertical posts, each damping element is resiliently pressed against each adjacent damping element.
