    Abstract: A display apparatus includes: a first light-emitting device, a second light-emitting device, and a third light-emitting device, on a substrate; a first color conversion layer and a second color conversion layer respectively on the first light-emitting device and the second light-emitting device; a transmissive layer on the third light-emitting device; and an optical functional layer on the first color conversion layer, the second color conversion layer, and the transmissive layer, and comprising a reflective metal layer and a light-absorbing layer, the light-absorbing layer being on the reflective metal layer, wherein the optical functional layer comprises a plurality of openings respectively corresponding to a first emission area of the first light-emitting device, a second emission area of the second light-emitting device, and a third emission area of the third light-emitting device.

    Abstract: A display device including a display layer to provide a first color light, a color control layer on the grayscale display layer and including a transmission filter for transmitting the first color light and a color conversion filter for converting the first color light to another color light, and an optical control layer on the color control layer. The optical control layer includes a metal layer having an absorption coefficient of 3 or more and 3.5 or less in a wavelength range of 530 nm to 570 nm and a first inorganic sub-layer having an absorption coefficient of 0.3 or more and 1 or less in a wavelength range of 530 nm to 570 nm.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes at least one pixel. The pixel includes a first sub-pixel charged with a first voltage and a second sub-pixel charged with a second voltage different from the first voltage. A first sub-pixel electrode provided in the first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel electrode provided in the second sub-pixel include slits having different widths according to directions. Due to the slits, average directors of the first and second sub-pixels are tilted in a horizontal or vertical direction. Accordingly, a side visibility of the display apparatus is improved.

    Abstract: A display device includes a light emitting element layer, and an optical pattern layer disposed on the light emitting element layer. The optical pattern layer includes a first pattern layer having a base part and protruding parts, and a second pattern layer having a refractive index less than a refractive index of the first pattern layer to scatter light incident to the optical pattern layer and minimize reduction in front efficiency, thereby providing an improved display quality of a side viewing angle.

    Abstract: A curved display device includes a display substrate, an opposite substrate, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the display substrate and the opposite substrate. The display substrate is curved along a first direction and includes a pixel electrode and a second alignment layer disposed on the pixel electrode. The opposite substrate is coupled to the display substrate to be curved along the first direction and includes a common electrode and a first alignment layer disposed on the common electrode. The first alignment layer comprises different material from the second alignment layer. The pixel electrode includes branch portions extending in a direction inclined with respect to the first direction when viewed in a plan view, and a pitch, which is defined by a sum of a width of each branch portion and a distance between the branch portions, is within a range from about 7.5 micrometers to about 8.5 micrometers.
