Abstract: A pedestrian terminal transmits a message including pedestrian information to a roadside machine from an ITS communicator. In a case where the message transmitted from the pedestrian terminal is received by an ITS communicator, the roadside machine accumulates the pedestrian information included in the message in a storage as passage history information and a controller generates path guidance information related to an evacuation path at a time of occurrence of a disaster based on the passage history information of the storage. Particularly, a care-needed person such as an aged person or a person frequently performing a dangerous behavior is detected, and the path guidance information for the person is generated. The message including the path guidance information is transmitted to the pedestrian terminal present nearby.

Abstract: Provided is a vehicle dispatching system that reduces burden on users. A roadside apparatus 4 detects a vehicle waiting person based on images captured by a camera 13, acquires the person's position data; sets a pickup point based on the person's position data and map data, acquires the pickup point's position data, and transmit it to a server 5. The server selects a vehicle to be dispatched for the person according to a positional relationship between the vehicle and the pickup point, and transmits the pickup point's position data to an in-vehicle terminal 2. The in-vehicle device or the roadside apparatus performs control so that the vehicle moves to the pickup point, when determining, based on the pickup point's position data and the map data, that a lane closest to the pickup point is for the same traveling direction as a lane in which the vehicle is traveling.

Abstract: Provided is a system which can reduce load on a travel controller that performs a danger avoidance operation by preliminarily detecting a significant event without increasing an amount of ITS communications, thereby providing suitable assistance for travel control of autonomous vehicles. When a vehicle 1 passes through a certain section of a road after an in-vehicle terminal 4 has detected a significant event while the vehicle 1 is traveling in the section, the in-vehicle terminal 4 transmits event data (images and other information related to the event) to a roadside apparatus 6 at an end point of the section. The roadside apparatus 6 transmits the event data to another roadside apparatus 6 at a start point of the section, which in turn transmits the event data to an in-vehicle device in another vehicle entering the section so that the device can perform travel control based on the event data.

Abstract: A pedestrian terminal transmits a message including pedestrian information to a roadside machine. In a case where the message transmitted from the pedestrian terminal is received, the roadside machine accumulates the pedestrian information included in the message as passage history information, detects occurrence of an abnormal event for a person possessing the pedestrian terminal based on the passage history information, and transmits the message including information indicating that the abnormal event occurs for the person possessing the pedestrian terminal to a nearby pedestrian terminal.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a communication system which can effectively avoid congestion in ITS communications at a street intersection to properly assist the driving of autonomous vehicles. An information source roadside apparatus 3 acquires terminal movement information on movement directions of nearby pedestrian terminals, and transmits the information to an information destination roadside apparatus, which determines, based on the received information, if there is predicted congestion in the terminal-to-terminal communications at a predetermined future time. When determining that there is predicted congestion, the information destination roadside apparatus transmits an instruction for a congestion avoidance operation to the pedestrian terminals 1. Then, each pedestrian terminal performs the congestion avoidance operation by switching a communication mode from a direct communication mode using the terminal-to-terminal communications, to an indirect communication mode using communications via a roadside apparatus.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pedestrian device and a traffic safety assistance method which can effectively and properly support pedestrian's safety confirmation by utilizing vehicle-to-pedestrian communications and an AR device. A pedestrian device of the present invention includes: an ITS communication device 21 (pedestrian-vehicle communication device) configured to perform vehicle-to-pedestrian communications with an in-vehicle terminal 2; a processor 32 configured to determine if there is a risk of collision based on information transmitted to and received from the in-vehicle device, and control provision of an alert to a user of the pedestrian device; and an AR display 26 for displaying a virtual object overlaid on a real space which can be seen by the user, wherein the processor controls display of the virtual object (virtual terminal) on the AR display as an alert operation to provide an alert to the user.

Abstract: Even in a crowded situation in which multiple pedestrians and vehicles gather, it possible to sufficiently suppress pedestrian-vehicle communication between a pedestrian terminal device and a vehicle-mounted terminal device, and to reduce communication congestion due to an increase in traffic in pedestrian-vehicle communication. Pedestrian information transmitted from another pedestrian terminal device which exists in the vicinity of the pedestrian terminal device is received to the pedestrian-vehicle communication, the location information of the pedestrian terminal device is acquired in a positioning acquirer, and it is determined whether or not a pedestrian who carries the pedestrian terminal device is located on the inside of a pedestrian group based on location information of the pedestrian terminal device and location information of the other pedestrian terminal device included in the pedestrian information and in a case where the pedestrian is located on the inside of the pedestrian group in the controller, the pedestrian-vehicle communication is stopped.
